The theme of the lesson: Information technology. Gadgets in everyday life (2hours)

The aim of the lesson:

Educational: to teach them grammar material, to continue learning the words, to teach students to work creatively, to know expressions according to Information technology.

Developing: to develop communicative skills, to develop creativity doing exercises, improve critical thinking skills and imagination.

Bringing-up: to bring up interest for English and English-speaking countries, to widen students’ outlook on different topics and inventions.

The type of the lesson: lesson combination, introduction, group work, discussion

Inter- subject connection: History

Methods of teaching: explanation, interaction

Equipment of the lesson: pictures, books, notebooks.

The procedure of the lesson:
I. Organizational moment.
Greetings – Good morning! Good afternoon!
Welcome to the lesson of the English language.

What is the date and the day today? Who is on duty today?

Calling the register: Who is absent?
II. Checking the homework.

III. Brain storming : What do you associate with the word TECHNOLOGIES?

Problem questions:

What are gadgets?

What are they for?

Why do we need them?

IV. The main part. Presentation of new words: personal computer (PC)

system block,monitor,display,screen,keyboard,mouse,mouse pad,hard drive,hardware,drivers,motherboard

,entral processor unit,memory,video card,disk drive,printer,scanner,device,network,connect,operating system,instruction,install,software,equipment

V.Now rack your brains! Let’s do some exercises! Please, raise your hands:

• Who has a computer at home? Raise your hands!

• Who has the Internet at home? Raise your hands!

• Who uses mobiles every day? Raise hands!

• Who uses computers for games? Raise your hands!

• Who uses computers for study? Raise your hands!
