Let’s take famous people’s quotations about books and reading. First you should complete the gaps with the suitable words which are given. Then we’ll discuss them.

You should explain the parts of the book. Begin the sentence: I am a ___________ of the book and I _________________.

  1. Classification.

Now you should be divided into 4 teams by taking cards of famous books. Then you have the lists of Fiction and Non-fiction genres of the books. You should divide the genres of the books into 2 large groups sticking the words on the papers in 5 minutes. Then I’ll show the correct answer and you should check each other’s works.











  1. My friends’ favourite books.

Watch the videos and try to tell about other ss’ favourite books by translating their speech.





  1. Choose an author as you choose a friend.

You have names of the famous writers and their biographies. You should find your writer’s biography. Then try to tell about them in short.

  4. Berdibek Sokpakbayev

Students have the crowns with the pictures of the parts of the book and they explain them









Ss are divided into 4 teams: Harry Potter, Alice in wonderland, Sherlock Holmes and White fang and they classify the genres of the books into 2 groups: Fiction and Non-fiction.

Ss watch the videos and try to tell about their favourite books.
