Цель урока: Обобщение и систематизация знаний по теме «Спорт».

Задачи урока: Образовательные:

тренировать и закреплять в речи учащихся лексические единицы по теме;

познакомить учащихся с различными видами спорта;

формировать речевые навыки, обеспечивающие познавательно-коммуникативные потребности учащихся; использовать новые слова по теме в устной речирасширять словарный запас учащихся.

Развивающие:

развивать языковые способности и устойчивый интерес к изучению английского языка;

расширять кругозор обучающихся при помощи мультимедийных средств, информации из Интернета;

развивать практические умения работе в группе.

Воспитательные:

способствовать воспитанию толерантного отношения к спорту,

способствовать воспитанию сотрудничества при коллективной работе;

- Good morning, dear friends! I’m glad to see you. Welcome to English lesson! How are you today?

- Fine, thanks.

- Thousands years ago ancient Greeks said: “A sound mind is in a sound body.” Millions of people who go in for sports know from their own experience that this famous saying is true.

At the same time a great number of people don’t go in for sports. Some of them realize that sport is useful but prefer watching sport on TV to going in for it themselves.

Now I’d like to ask you some questions about sport and sport activities

Tell me please what we do with sport.

a) to play a sport (when we speak about games in which one tries to win against another person or team).

Examp1e: to play football -||- tennis, -||- handball.

b) to do a sport (when we speak about a sport that is not a team sport).

Example: aerobics, gymnastics, exercise.

c) to go V-ing (is used when we speak about sport activity which is not done professionally).

Example: to go swimming, to go skiing, etc. - Jack goes swimming.

(It means that he is not a professional swimmer. It's his hobby and he doesn't do it regularly.)

People go in for different sports. When we speak about sports what verbs do we use – do, play, go or ride?

Students are divided into two groups and given sheets of papers, pictures of different kinds of sport, glue sticks, felt-tip pens, and markers. They should choose what kinds of sport they want to describe: traditional or extreme, indoor or outdoor, team or individual. They are given 10 minutes to be ready for defending their posters

At our previous lesson we had learned First Conditional Sentences. You know how we form it:

If +V, shall/will V

Now let’s make production – we will make sentences in First Conditional using words, connected with sport. F.eg: If we go in for sport we will be strong and fast.

You are given 5 minutes.

If we do not go in for sport we will not keep fit.

If we go swimming we will have strong legs and healthy lungs.

If we do gymnastics we will have slim figure.

If we play football we will grow tall.
