he theme of the lesson: Across Cultures
The aim of the lesson: to develop pupils` auding, reading and speaking skills and habbits
The objectives of the lesson:
1)Educational: to read and to learn about some immigrant children;
2) Developing: to develop pupils` auding,reading,speaking skills and habbits, to develop pupils` memory;
3)Cultural: to acquaint pupils with culture of foreign countries` children
Language material: 3 letters ,a set of ex-s, a set of photos, a set of words
Equipment: cards with words, CD-disc, CD-player
The type of the lesson: presentation
Literature: «Challenges 1» by Longman

The procedure of the lesson:
Org.moment: Good afternoon,children! How are you today? I am fine,thanks! Sit down,please! Who is on duty today? What date is it today? What day is it today? Who is absent today? Children,today the theme of our lesson will is «Across Cultures». And today we`ll acquaint and read the letters of some immigrant children,who live now in the UK.
Warm-up: ex.1 p.66 Now,children,open your books at page 66 and find ex.1. Let`s answer the questions: Do you know any foreign people in your country? Where do people from your country go?
Ch.up the home task: Open your books at p.62-63 (ex.1-4) and let`s check up your home task. Let`s read one by one.
Oral practice: presentation of new material at p.66 ex.2. Now let`s listen the letters of immigrant children with CD-player (CD №2,track 42). You should to complete the table.
Find ex.2 p.66 and mark-What things do the pupils miss about their country-Ada,Daniel and Rodjin, mark right answer.(pupils answer).
Now find ex.3,you must find these adjectives in the letter. Answer me-are they positive,neutral or negative adj.? look at my card and say-what letter is missed and then translate it in russian
things can you describe with these adj.? F.e: food,people or weather? (ex.4 p.66)
Let`s find ex.5 p.66 Read the task: write 4 sentences about your country. Use adj. from ex.3. F.e. Our local soup is DELICIOUS. Let`s work in pairs then everybody`ll read aloud own sentence.

So we can continue our work. Let`s find ex.6 please,read the task about Helen. Don`t worry about understanding everything in the recording at this stage,but focus on things Helen misses about the Uk and things she likes in Spain. Now listen,please (CD 2,track 43). Answers: misses-TV; likes: weather,food,seafood,
Now listen again,find ex.7 are these statements true (T) or false (F) for Helen? (CD 2,track 43).
Find ex.8 and listen to these sentences from the interview. Complete each gap with 1 word. I`ll give you time to read it. (ex.8 p.67, CD 2, track 45).Write right answers in your Student-books.
Now listen again and repeat sentences (ex.9, track 46).Please,copy the speakers` pronunciation as closely as possible.
And now, ex-ce for your pronunciation. Listen and repeat words with «TH» sounds. (ex.10 p.67)
Drawing a conclusion: Very good,children! You did all tasks wonderful! Today we read a lot and learned new words.
