The aim of the lesson is?

Warming up:
T: What medical advice might a doctor give you if you have an infected
mosquito bite?
P: You should put some antibiotic cream on it.
T: Act out the dialogue at the doctor's surgery. (Учебник стр. 67)
T: Last summer I watched Geographic Channel and was impressed by a story told by a lifeguard. Once he saved a swimmer who managed to get out of the water and screamed in pain. The lifeguard looked at his leg. It was red and swollen. He knew straight away that it was a sting from a sea creature. The lifeguard gave the swimmer an injection and called a rescue helicopter. Can you guess which animal it was?
T: You are quite right. It was really unusual jellyfish. It was a poisonous box jellyfish invisible to swimmers.

Who wants to sit on the Hot Spot? Who is the bravest?
You don`t know who you are. You must guess listening to description of your classmates.
Now let`s receive some more information about Platypuses and Crocodiles.
Your task will be find the information about your animal and stick your lists on your part of the blackboard and then present us this information.
Platypuses
They lay eggs, but they feed their babies with milk. They live along the river banks. They have a brown furry body and webbed feet. With a bill like a duck as well as a tail like a beaver it looks truly unique. They can grow up to 60 cm/ 2 ft in length. They are very shy animals and quickly hide underwater. If they are attacked and cannot run away, they inject venom through the spikes on their back legs. The venom is so strong it can kill a dog!
Crocodiles
They can actually live in freshwater and saltwater. They are the world’s largest reptiles. They grow up to 6 m long and weigh up to one tonne. When hunting, they can remain completely invisible for as long as an hour. They can hide underwater. They can hold their breath for about one hour and have transparent eyelids, so they can see their prey even when underwater.
Рефлексия (подведение итогов)
Now I’d like you to finish my phrases:
Now I know…
Now I know that the most dangerous animals live in Australia. Their bites and stings can cause terrible pain, sweating, vomiting and even death if not to use anti-venin very quickly.
