I want to divide you into two groups. How do you think what two groups can you divide into?



  • Now I want to introduce you with criteria of assessment. If you cover all aspects such as writing, reading, speaking, using English and listening you will get ‘’5’’.

  • If you cover only writing, reading, listening and using English, you will get ‘’ 4’’

  • If you cover only reading, writing and listening you will get ‘’3’’

Look at the screen and read the sentences under the pictures. Try to translate and compare them. Think what differences between these sentences.

  1. Task.

Game ‘’Writer and readers’’ You have to choose a writer and readers. Your writers have to write the sentences which readers will read from the text. You have to write all text.

I group

Education in Great Britain

In GB compulsory education lasts from vive to sixteen. Primary education lasts six years. First children are studied at infant school from five to seven. Children go to junior school at the age of seven which they attend until eleven. Then they go to secondary school. It lasts from eleven to sixteen.

There are some types of secondary school in GB. The foreign languages are not studied at modern schools. At secondary schools pupils study English, Math, Science, Geography, History and others. English, Math and Science are called “core” subjects. Pupils take examinations in the core subjects at the age of 7, 11 and 14.

Boys and girls don’t study together at private schools.



II group


Education in Kazakhstan.

In Kazakhstan nine years of classes are compulsory. Primary education lasts five years. First children study at infant school from five to six. Children go to junior school at the age of six which they attend until ten. Then they go to secondary school. It lasts from eleven to sixteen. English, Math, Science, Geography, History, Art, English are studied at schools. Boys and girls are studied together in Kazakhstan. Pupils take examinations at the ninth and eleventh grade. Subjects for examinations are chosen by pupils. Students wear a special uniform at schools.

Now I’ll give you papers with sentences in Active voice. Each paper is a link. You have to change the sentences from Active voice to Passive voice. If you don’t have mistakes you can stick the paper as a link. Then you have to attach each link into one chain. Whose chine will be longer this group will be the best.

I. Group

1. I prepare a good report for assembly.

2.A student write an essay about his school.

3. He learns new English words every day.

4. We read an interesting story about London.

5.Girls in our school wear white blouses and black skirts.

II. Group.

  1. I remember each dates from the text.

  2. Boys in our school wear red ties.

  3. She writes a letter about her summer holidays.

  4. We watch a record film about schools in Great Britain.

  5. They ask for teacher many questions.
