Zhambyl Zhabayev Literary Museum was established in 1947 to demonstrate visitors the literary heritage of the famous Kazakh akyn (poet). The Museum includes the house where the akyn lived in 1936 – 1938, 1938 – 1945 and the picturesque surroundings where he was buried.

The State Book Museum in Almaty was founded in 1977. It’s exhibition shows the history of Kazakh writing and book painting as well as the Modern publications in Kazakhstan. “Books are the treasured wealth of the world and the inheritance of generations and nations” (Thoreau, Walden)
From generation to generation they have been handed down and preserved to the present day. A visit to the Museum gives you a great aesthetic pleasure and an unforgettable experience.

Geology Museum of the Academy of Science is quite unique. It demonstrates collections of natural underground resources and stones of Kazakhstan. Visitors of all ages will enjoy the interactive computer show demonstrate different geological processes. The Museum also includes a shop selling jewelry, fragments of ancient rocks, precious and semi – precious stones. It is a good place to see the ancient Kazakh culture and modern art. The Museum also organizes a five – day geological tour throughout the Zailly Alatau region. It makes an unforgettable impression on the visitors.
