1. Washington, D.C.
Washington, D.C., United State"s capital, is located along the eastern seaboard of the continent, between the states of Virginia and Maryland on the north bank of the Potomac river. "The Nation"s Attic," the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C., is the world"s largest museum complex and research organization. This monument was built in1888 in honor of George Washington. It is 170 metres tall, has 4 sides and provides a panoramic view of Washington, D.C., The White House, the official residence of the president. This is the Lincoln memorial, built in honour of Abraham Lincoln. It was built in the style of classic Greek temple. It has 36 columns. The Mall is home to a number of museums and galleries, including the National Museum of Natural History, the National Air and Space Museum and many of the Smithsonian Institution buildings.
2. George Washington
The capital of the USA Washington was founded in 1791. The founder of this city was the first president of the USA George Washington. George Washington was born on the 22nd of February 1732 into the family of a rich Virginia landowner. Washington took part in the French and Indian War. He took active part in the first and second Continental Congresses in 1774 and 1775-1776. After war Washington became a national hero and in 1789 he was chosen as the first president of the USA. For all his great things that he did the Americans call him “Father of the country”. Abraham Lincoln became the 16th President of the United States in 1861. He freed the blacks in the South from slavery. This is the Jefferson Memorial, built in 1943 in honour of Thomas Jefferson. Inside is a 19 – foot statue of Thomas Jefferson standing on a 6 – foot pedestal. The Declaration of Independence was written by Thomas Jefferson. He was the third President of the United States.

It came out of the harbor Southampton, England on the 10th of April 1912 and followed to the USA. There were about 2200 passengers. At night on the 15th April Titanic bumped with iceberg. 1500 people died in cold waters of Atlantic Ocean and only about 700 of them were alive. In 1997 American producer James Cameron made a film “Titanic”. It became 11 Oscars.
