Методическая разработка урока английского языка в 10 классе "Sport as an alternative to PE at school"

Сегодня обучение иностранным языкам вступило на новый этап. Первейшей задачей учителя стало сделать язык не статичным, непонятным, а живым и практическим. Сегодня мы являемся свидетелями процесса перехода от «школы объяснения» к «школе развития». Важнейшей характеристикой новой школы является проблемное обучение. Для этого необходимо, чтобы задачи, которые ставятся перед обучающимися в начале урока, были не только понятны, но и внутренне осознанны и приняты ими. Любой учебный материал должен приобрести значимость для учащихся и найти отклик в их переживаниях.

Содержательную основу проблемного урока составляет проблемный вопрос, предполагающий выдвижение одной или несколько гипотез, а также процесса обоснования, доказательности.

В качестве организационного принципа проблемного урока выступает принцип совместной деятельности, в основе которого лежит технология обучения в сотрудничестве (Cooperative Learning) с элементами дискуссии и обсуждения по заданной проблеме.

Предлагаемая методическая разработка включает в себя все три аспекта проблемного обучения. Наряду с этим на предлагаемом уроке использовались элементы таких современных технологий, как технология развития критического мышления, технология проблемного диалога, рефлексивная технология, ИКТ (иформационно-коммуникационных технологий), а также метод проектов.

Методическая разработка урока состоит из сценария урока и показывает, как на каждом этапе происходит организация учебного взаимодействия в режимах «учитель - ученик», «ученик - ученик», «ученик - класс», а также как происходит развитие личностных, коммуникативных, регулятивных и метапредметных универсальных учебных действий.

Section 3 «Are you keen on sports?»

Цель урока

- развитие иноязычной речевой компетенции учащихся через развитие навыков восприятия иноязычной речи на слух, навыков устной речи по теме: «Sport as an alternative to PE at school».

Задачи урока

Обучающие:

Активизировать имеющиеся в опыте учащихся знания, полученные на уроках английского языка, или на уроках по другим предметам по теме: «Sport».
Закрепить лексический материал по теме, привести примеры его употребления в речи.
Практиковать в употреблении лексического материала по теме в аудировании, устной речи.
Расширить представления учащихся о популярных видах спорта в Британии.

Развивающие:

1. Развить логическое мышление, умение преодолевать трудности, связанные с изучением языкового материала по теме: «Sport».

2. Сформировать иноязычные речевые механизмы: слуховое и зрительное восприятия.

3. Развить индивидуальные учебные способности.

4. Развить культуру умственного труда учащихся.

Воспитательные:

1. Поддержать интерес к учению и формирование познавательной активности учащихся.

2. Воспитать уважительное отношение к спорту, способствовать поддержанию здорового образа жизни.

3. Воспитать трудолюбие, усидчивость, организованность, активность и внимание.

Практические задачи:

1. Закрепить новый языковой материал по теме: «Sport».

2. Учить использовать языковой материал в устных формах речи, используя речевые опоры;

3. Совершенствовать навыки аудирования, устной речи по теме.

Ход урока:

I. Introduction (Организационный момент):

- Hello, boys and girls, very glad to see you! Sit down, please! How are you? Today we are going to have an interesting lesson. Let`s start our work.

- Look at these pictures, please. Do you know the word that can describe all the pictures?

Hello, everyone! Our survey has revealed that 95 % of students are not very happy with their PE lessons and want to learn different things than they currently do at school. We've invited several students who have ideas of their own about how to make school PE lessons more interesting and exciting. Welcome!

I would love to have snowboarding lessons in school! It would get you through the week knowing that there was something fun to do and then have cool memories for the rest of the week! Schools concentrate too much on things like maths, language and science — we need a bit of excitement, don't we?
I think we should have karate lessons 'cause it would help us in the outside world as well as in school; it also keeps you well fit. A lot of people I know would be interested in karate. You could also get a professional teacher to do the lessons. It would be well cool!
I would want dance lessons at school. It would be cool to have them instead of PE or French. And if we are good in class and have extra time we could also do gymnastics.
I would love football to be a regular lesson that we would have each day. I love football and if I could play it everyday, it would be like heaven to me! I wish we had lessons on that!

This sounds a bit "extreme" but I'd like to learn things like snowboarding, rock climbing, skiing, and that sort of thing. They keep you fit and are fun to do!

I think we should have ice skating lessons in school! We'd have a brilliant time doing it and when we're not, we'd have fun memories and something to look forward to for the next lesson! I mean isn't school a place to have fun too?
