Цель урока
- развитие иноязычной речевой компетенции учащихся через развитие навыков восприятия иноязычной речи на слух, навыков устной речи по теме: «Sport as an alternative to PE at school».
Задачи урока
Обучающие:
Активизировать имеющиеся в опыте учащихся знания, полученные на уроках английского языка, или на уроках по другим предметам по теме: «Sport».
Закрепить лексический материал по теме, привести примеры его употребления в речи.
Практиковать в употреблении лексического материала по теме в аудировании, устной речи.
Расширить представления учащихся о популярных видах спорта в Британии.
Развивающие:
1. Развить логическое мышление, умение преодолевать трудности, связанные с изучением языкового материала по теме: «Sport».
2. Сформировать иноязычные речевые механизмы: слуховое и зрительное восприятия.
3. Развить индивидуальные учебные способности.
4. Развить культуру умственного труда учащихся.
Воспитательные:
1. Поддержать интерес к учению и формирование познавательной активности учащихся.
2. Воспитать уважительное отношение к спорту, способствовать поддержанию здорового образа жизни.
3. Воспитать трудолюбие, усидчивость, организованность, активность и внимание.
Практические задачи:
1. Закрепить новый языковой материал по теме: «Sport».
2. Учить использовать языковой материал в устных формах речи, используя речевые опоры;
3. Совершенствовать навыки аудирования, устной речи по теме.
Ход урока:
I. Introduction (Организационный момент):
- Hello, boys and girls, very glad to see you! Sit down, please! How are you? Today we are going to have an interesting lesson. Let`s start our work.

- The next task for you is to listen to the radio programme on the kinds of sports British students would like to learn in PE lessons.

Hello, everyone! Our survey has revealed that 95 % of students are not very happy with their PE lessons and want to learn different things than they currently do at school. We've invited several students who have ideas of their own about how to make school PE lessons more interesting and exciting. Welcome!
I would love to have snowboarding lessons in school! It would get you through the week knowing that there was something fun to do and then have cool memories for the rest of the week! Schools concentrate too much on things like maths, language and science — we need a bit of excitement, don't we?
I think we should have karate lessons 'cause it would help us in the outside world as well as in school; it also keeps you well fit. A lot of people I know would be interested in karate. You could also get a professional teacher to do the lessons. It would be well cool!
I would want dance lessons at school. It would be cool to have them instead of PE or French. And if we are good in class and have extra time we could also do gymnastics.
I would love football to be a regular lesson that we would have each day. I love football and if I could play it everyday, it would be like heaven to me! I wish we had lessons on that!
This sounds a bit "extreme" but I'd like to learn things like snowboarding, rock climbing, skiing, and that sort of thing. They keep you fit and are fun to do!

So, you are British students. Today you`ve been asked to choose one of the kinds of sports given in the table to go in for as an alternative to PE at your school.
Each group will choose only one kind of sport.
Make the Cluster to report your ideas. Start with: “To improve our health in PE at school, we...” (2min)
