Healthy Living Guide
Good and bad health habits.
Цели:
Обучающие :
Знакомить учащихся с плохими и хорошими привычками.
Формировать лексические и грамматические навыки говорения.
Развивать умение читать с целью понимания содержания.
Формировать умение говорить на основе прочитанного.
Воспитательные :
Формирование ответственного отношения к здоровью.
Знакомить с фактами о здоровом образе жизни, полезных и вредных привычках.
Развивающая:
Развивать личностную активность-высказывать свою точку зрения.
Оборудование : функциональные опоры, карточки, пословицы, учебники, проектор.
INTRODUCTION.
Teacher: Good morning! How are you? We’ll speak today about important problem- good and bad habits. Let’s begin our lesson!
Look at the board ! These are the aims of our lesson.
To learn new words and expressions.
To read the text and to speak.
To revise adverbs.
PHONETIC ACTIVITIES.(Slide)
Look at the board! Let’s read these words. You see some words without translation. Try to guess!
a diet-
wholemeal-сделанный из непросеянной муки
fibre-волокно, клетчатка
obesity-ожирение
smoking-
alcohol-
weight-вес
to keep feet-
slimmer-
inactivity-
skip-пропускать
dairy-молочные продукты
Учащиеся проговаривают слова в режимах: T- Ps; T-P, угадывают.
III . WARM-UP ACTIVITIES.
Read the proverbs about health and try to match the proverbs and the translation of the proverbs.(slide 1)
“ Good health is above wealth.”
“ A sound mind in a sound body”
“Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise”.
“ Eat at pleasure, drink with measure”
« Ешь в волю, пей в меру», « Здоровье дороже денег», « Рано ложиться, рано вставать-значит здоровье, богатство и ум наживать», « В здоровом теле –здоровый дух».
Pupils say how they matched these proverbs, then we check .
IV SPEAKING.
Pupils work in groups and make a list with good and bad health habits( use the student’s books
then compare it with that in the book.
V. READING.
Ex.1(5), p.99
Pupils , please read the text and get ready to answer the questions!
What is this text about?
Do you agree with the arguments from this text?
What does the author tell about health?
VI. GRAMMAR FOR REVISION.
( ADVERBS)
Повторение ранее изученного материала и его систематизация.
T: Individual work. Remember please the adverbs : little, much, many, a lot of and their comparative degree. Do exercises on the cards. Take your cards.
Complete these healthy eating tips using much, many, little, a lot of.
Too ____food makes you thin.
Too_____food makes you fat.
Too_____sweets are bad for you, especially for your teeth.
Eat ____ high fat food and___fibre.
_____fruit and vegetables keep you healthy.

VII. CONSOLIDATION AND AUTOMATION OF NEW VOCABULARY.
Work in groups.
Pupils are divided into some groups and develop a questionnaire to find out their friends’ health habits and then they make a survey, giving a portrait of the average student in their class.
(After work each group gives the results of the work. It will be used in our future work)
