Organization moment: Greeting , asking the date, day of the week, weather

Divide students to two groups by choosing

Warm up: 1. Make me say “Yes, I do”

Students ask the teacher and then each other “Do you…?” questions and get one point for each positive answer but no points for “No, I don’t”. You may also want to allow questions with the Present Simple of “to be”. This is more fun if students work out that they can get points for asking really obvious questions like “Do you eat every day?” and “Do you sleep at night?” You can also get students to ask about their partners’ family members etc. to bring in 3rd person S.

Introduction :

T shows PPT :

  1. Look at the black board: the theme of our lesson is adverbs of frequency(наречия частности). we are going to talk about adverbs. But first remember that Adverbs of frequency are often used to indicate routines and repeated activities and often used with the Present Simple to say “how often” Adverbs of frequency show you how often something happens. This can be always , or never. Наречия частотности в английском языке: always, often, frequently, usually, normally, generally, sometimes, occasionally, rarely, not often, hardly ever, never. Наречия расположены в порядке сокращения частотности действий, которые они выражают.

These adverbs can go before the main verb. Teacher writes sentences on the board.

I always get up at 7 o`clock

Marat can usually play chess on Saturdays

The adverbs often, usually, sometimes and  can go at the beginning of a sentence.

  • Sometimes I go swimming.

  • Often we surf the internet.

Sometimes these adverbs can go at the end of a sentence.

  • We read books occasionally

T then plays a video clip on how often Martha does different activities. After viewing the video clip, T shows the PPT to Ss and lets them fill in the blanks using adverbs of frequency. T plays the video clip once more and asks students to give the answers. T writes the adverbs of the frequency in the blanks.
