· Warm-up. T asks ss to choose one fortune cookie with predictions for the future (happiness; change is coming; the future is yours; financial prosperity is coming your way; you are the master of every situation; an unexpected event will soon bring you happiness; today is your lucky day; now is a lucky time for you-take a chance!.

Word revision: learners read the definitions of different waysof telling the future and match them with fortune telling words(Astrology, Palmistry, Fortune cookies, Reading tea leaves)
Astrology –is the combination of two Greek words –astron, which means star; and logos, which means study. These predictions are also called horoscopes
PALMISTRY- art of characterization and foretelling the future through the study of the palm;
FORTUNE COOKIES-one of the ways of predicting the future. The cookies have a piece of paper inside with wise sayings and some lucky numbers on it –and this is the ‘fortune’
READING THE LEAVES-one of the ways of predicting the future by reading tea leaves from your teacup.
Asking homework. T hangs on the wall pictures of horoscope signs (Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces) and asks ss to stand near their horoscope signs. Ss presents their home task.
· Reading activity(G) Group work :Teacher divides ss into small groups according to the four elements (Fire, Earth, Air, Water). T distributes the reading texts and ss complete the tasks.
Ss work in small groups and share their ideas with each other by jigsaw method. i.e. one of them finds all the new words and writes them down on mind map, the second student prepares questions based on the given text to the other groups, the third student tells other groups what the text is about.
