Intellectual Show:“ Educated young and Clever Children’’.

The aims: To enrich pupils Knowledge. To develop pupils creative activity and the habits of independent work. To educate the feeling of love to the world and to the language.
To know the traditions and customs, histories of three countries.
The type : Intellectual show or competition.
Methods: Question-answer, group work , interaction.
Visual aids: the interactive board, slides, pictures, papers with tasks and e.c.
Procedure of the competition.
Introduction.
Teacher: Welcome to our competition that is called the first group is: ’’ Educated young’’;
Second group is “ Clever children”.
Let me introduce you participants of our competition.
There are 5 pairs in our today’s game. The judges of our today ‘s competition are:
I. The first round of our competition is Introduction.
T: In this part each pair must introduce themselves: the name of the pair, the motto.
The Judges give the results of the part.
II.The second part is: “ A round the World”
Teacher: You should answer the questions in History, Geography, Kazakh literature, English Language, Russian language.
About Kazakhstan.
What is the colour of the State flag? / blue/
The bird in the state flag of Kazakhstan is an …… /Eagle/
The capital of Kazakhstan is ……. /Astana/
How many people live in Kazakhstan? /more than 17 ,000,000 mln./
When is the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan? /16th December/
About Britain.
1. How many countries does the United Kingdom of Great Britain include? /4/
London is the capital of ……. / Great Britain, England/
Edinburg is the capital of …… / Scotland/
Cardiff is the capital of …….. / Wales/.
The capital of Northern Ireland is ……… /Belfast/.
About Americ.
1. How many States are there in America? /50/
2. Who discovered America? /Columbus/
3. Who was the first President of the USA? / G. Washington/.
4. The name of American currency is ….. /A dollar/
5. The official language of the USA is …… / English/.
6. Who is the President of the USA? / Barak Obama/.
All together.
Where we were seen the Big Ben clock? /in England/
The novel “When the Swans were sleeping?” was written by ….. /Makataev/
Who was Charles Dickens? / a writer/.
Where were the 7 th Asian Winter Games held? /In Kasakhstan/
How many letters in Kazakh, Russian and English? / 42, 33, 26/
III. The third round of our competition is a Poetical minute.
Our participants will recite poems that they have prepared in advance.
Pupils are talking about their poems. What poems did they know? Let’s we listening!
IV. The fourth round is “ Grammar Test”
The participant must do it in 6 minutes. If you know the grammar, last week we were learning about the ‘‘Modal verbs” They are can, may, must ,have to, should, would, need. Let’s we make up the sentence to the modal verbs.
Let’s we listen the song when they have finished. The Song singed by Tolegenov Sarsenbai, Saidulla Khairulla andAbiev Kobeisin the 7 th Form Pupils.
V. The Fifth round of our competition is audience.
Then I show you the film and you should retelling what about it? How did you understand ? What is the meaning ? You may retell about 5-6 sentences.
VI. The Sixth round of our competition is Meals. They must do it 5 minutes. You must know “English meals and Kazakh Meals”. You should know about difference between the Kazakh and English meals.
Our participants are writing the Meals of two countries.
VII. The Last or Seventh round is Poliglot.
You go there to borrow books, to look through newspapers to get some new information for you. / a library/
An activity that lasts for 45 minutes. Every day except Sunday you have 5 or 6 of them. Every 45 minutes you study different subjects. /A lesson/.
If you can’t translate the word, if you want to understand its meaning , if you want to check the pronunciation of the word –you look up this word in it. /A dictionary/.
Every day you carry it to school. It is made of paper. It is not so big but it is not so little. At every lesson you open it . Some of you open it at a break time to revise you homework. And off cause all of you open it at home to do your home task. /A book/.
This place is much larger than our classroom. If you are hungry you can have a snack there. If you are thirsty you can have juice there. What place is it? /A canteen/.
That all do. Our competition is over today. I think that Intellectual shou lesson was interesting today. We are learning much about of different things.
At the end of our shou let’s we listen the song. Juries will named the winner. Which groups are winner Today.
Two groups are activity , they are take part an activity.
