"Robert Burns - as ever-living and never-dying symbol of the country"
В связи с прохождением учащихся 7х классов раздела «англо-говорящие страны» в рамках школьной программы актуально провести урок-концерт, приуроченный к празднованию дня рождения великого шотландского поэта и барда, Роберта Бёрнса, с целью знакомства с его самобытной поэзией, традициями и обычаями Шотландии.
Цель мероприятия: знакомство учащихся 6-7х классов с поэзией Роберта Бёрнса, как вечно
живущего и неумирающего символа Шотландии для расширения их образовательного пространства и активизации лексики по теме «Традиции и обычаи Шотландии».
Сопутствующие задачи: формирование коммуникативной компетентности
• Развитие навыков выразительного чтения и перевод стихотворения Роберта Бёрнса "My heart's in the Highlands", «Моё сердце в горах».
• Знакомство с традициями и обычаями шотландцев
• Закрепление навыков диалогической и монологической речи
• Знакомство с фольклором Шотландии:
а) исполнение народной шотландской песни "My Bonny Lies Over the Ocean" Scottish

б) исполнение традиционного шотландского танца "The Highland Fling"
Оборудование урока: магнитофон, компьютерное сопровождение {вывод по ходу урока
видов Шотландии, национальной атрибутики – килт, волынка и т.д. на экран), дети одеты в национальные костюмы (килты), муляж волынки, на экране портрет Роберта Бёрнса, звучит шотландская музыка.
I. Вступительное слово учителя:
- Do you like poetry? -I am sure you do. "What do you imagine when you hear the word "Scotland"? The men in tartan kilts, the sounds of bagpipes, gloomy, gray castles on rocks, mysterious, lochs with monsters... And, of course, Robert Burns, Scotland's national poet.
Robert Burns, Scottish poet and writer of traditional Scottish folksongs was born in Alloway, South-Western Scotland on the 25th of January 1759. He loved common people and wrote about them, Robert Burns is as famous all over the world as Pushkin.
The sourcers of Burn's poetry are the life of common people and Scottish folklore. He wrote his poems with a sense of Liberty and patriotic feelings.
But the name of Robert Burns is still alive. Every year on January 25 (on his birthday) Burns Night is celebrated not only in Scotland, but throughout Britain.
Robert Burns's poems and verses were translated in Russia by M. Lermontov, C. Marshak.
Whenever we speak about Scotland the name of Scotland's Bard Robert Burns is always there as ever-living, never-dying symbol of the country.

Kate: So what is Scotland famous for?
Simon: Scottish people are very proud of the poet Robert Burns. He died over two hundred years ago, but every year on his birthday, people celebrate "Burns's Night". And on New Year's Eve, they sing his most famous song "Auld Lang Syne".
Kate: Yes that's right. The Scottish name for New Year's Eve is Hogmanay. At midnight people play the bagpipes. The bagpipes are Scotland's national instruments and you are always hear them on special occasions.
Simon: Scotland is famous for its food, too. The traditional meal is haggis, a special sausage from meat and animal fat.

Участники мероприятия делают краткие сообщения, сопровождаемые картинками на экране по плану:
1) Edinburgh - the city who likes to walk.
2) The Castle.
3) The Kilt, the traditional Scottish dress.
4) The Edinburgh Military fatto and festival.
5) From the history of bagpipe (The National Musical instrument of the Scots).
6) Clans and Tartans.
7) The Scottish Folk songs and dances.
IV. Чтение и перевод на русский язык стихотворения Роберта Бёрнса "My Heart's in the Highlands".
Ведущий: Scotland! A beautiful country- that inspired Robert Burns to write so many wonderful poems about his countryside and his people. He felt a special bond with the Highlands with its high mountains and wild lochs. And one of the most famous Burns's poems about Scotland - "My Heart's in the Highlands". It was translated into Russian language by S.Marshack.

V. Исполнение народной шотландской песни "My Bonny Lies Over the Ocean".
Ведущий: One of the most famous Scottish songs, known all over the world is "My Bonny Lies Over the Ocean".
It was a song about Prince Charles Edward Stewart who was known as Bonnie "Prince" Charlie because he was young and good-looking ("bonnie" means "good-looking"). He was also Scotland's national hero who fought against the English in the 18th century but Charlie's army was defeated.
VI. Исполнение народного шотландского танца.
Ведущий: Scottish people like to dance very much. The traditional Scottish dance is called the-Highland Fling. It's a very lively dance. Let's dance!
