Тема : “ Ecological Challenges, how can we save our Planet”

Цели: Формирование коммуникативной компетенции

учащегося на базе говорения базового и дополнительного

материала ,проверка знания лексики по теме, восприятия на

слух видеозаписей, презентации по теме.

Образовательная: Способствовать формированию коммуникативных навыков

учащегося в условиях работы в группах с использованием

информативных средств обучения, совершенствовать умения и

навыки учащегося отбирать нужную информацию, отстаивать

свою позицию, подводить итоги работы.

Развивающая: Расширить представление учащегося о том, что происходит

на земле,

влиять на формирование здоровых взглядов на окружающую среду.

Воспитательная: Сконцентрировать внимание учащегося на ценностях природы, а

также привычках человека научно влиять на окружающий мир.

Тип урока : Урок презентация.

К концу урока учащиеся:

Должны знать: Лексику по теме, дополнительных материалов по

проблемам экологии

К концу урока учащиеся:

Должны уметь: Понимать на слух презентации, фильм в видеозаписи,

говорить по теме, мыслить логически.

Оборудование : интерактивная доска, ноутбук, видеофильм, Экология земли,

презентации.

Ходурока

P1. Our organization is called “Life Changes through Time”. Our aim is to save our planet.

Now we shall remind you what is happening with our planet. Our planet is the only place where a human being might live. Unfortunately, scientists haven’t yet discovered other planets, to where a person may move and live the rest of life. That’s why we have to take care of the Earth and look after our nature and surroundings as well as possible. A human being is able not only to create but also to destroy. Especially our earth suffers badly from pernicious actions of man. This applies to both people’s neglectful attitude to the nature – dropping of cigarette ends rubbish on the earth – and industrial factories and natural appearances (e.g acid rains).

Factories regularly emit harmful chemicals into the air pollution; water and soil are subjected to pollutions as well. When such fuels as coal and oil burn, they emit very dangerous smoke. A person destroys not only environment, plants, animals, but also himself. Faster and faster man’s health starts worsening; children of weak immune system are being given birth. Forests are being cut down, and animals from the Red Book are gradually dying out. What will be next in our world of progressive technology remains undecided. Let’s protect the nature. Nature is our friend! (Slide 1)

Every year more and more plants and animals disappear never to be seen again. In many lakes and rivers fish are dying and some lakes have no fish at all.

Trees are also in serious danger. This new danger attacks all tress like oak, beech and birch as well as fir tree and pine. First the branches turn

yellow and brown. Then the trees’ needles or leaves fall. The roots and the trunk shrinks. Finally the trees die.

During the winter, snow and ice build up on the roads, making it dangerous for people to drive. So

a special kind of salt is spread on the roads to melt ice and snow. But when they melt, the salty

water runs off into lakes, rivers and streams. This salty runoff can kill fish and other animals,

affect the growth of plants and contaminate drinking water. (Slide 2)

Besides, many farmers use pesticides to kill insects that damage their crops. Unfortunately, these

pesticides often harm birds and other animals to say nothing of contaminating water supplies.

Many power stations burn coal or oil to produce electricity. But burning these fuels results in air pollution, you know.

In many cities, cars are the main means of transportation. They are also one of the major courses of air pollution. (Slide 3)

P6.

What is killing fish and tress ? The problem is acid rains. Factories, power stations and cars emit tons of smoke into the air. If people of the world don’t unite their efforts against acid rains, tress and fish will die and we will too.

P7.

The great rainforests of Asia and South America are being destroyed for firewood and building material. People do not realize that a forest is more than a collection of tress. It’s a complex community of plant and animal life. Trees are important because they provide home for many other plants and animals too. They protect the flowers which grow on the forest floor, provide food for insects, reptiles, birds and mammals. They protect the soil from the wind and the rain. Most important of all - the forests are the lungs of the planet. They produce the oxygen which we breathe.

Help animals! Write letters to local concerns and, ask them so do something about animal’s problems. Never throw rubbish pick no any letter you see in the streets, gardens and parks.
