The theme of the lesson: England and Scotland

The aims of the lesson: Speaking about England and Scotland, to get the main information about England and Scotland

To develop pupils’ knowledge concerning the theme.

Todevelop pupils’ logical thinking, creative abilities and vocabulary
Visual aids: Active board, slides, pictures, test papers, cards
The type of the lesson: open lesson

The method of the lesson: question –answer, pair work, group work

1. Organization moment
1. Greeting (2 min)
- Good morning dear children, ! It’s great to see the guests at our English lesson today. I hope everybody is OK. I am sure that all people like to travel. We learn English language and its very interesting for us to visit the UK. So, I offer you to have an imaginary trip to England and Scotland today.
Today we shall travel to the England and Scotland by plane. At first you will need to buy a ticket. Let’s start our lesson.
2. Introductory Activity:
Pilot:
Dear teachers and students! I’m your pilot, Mrs Gulshara and I wish you a pleasant flight.
Stewardess:
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen! I am your stewardess. My name is Alhan. Welcome to our plane. Our flight lasts 45 minutes. Today is the third of March. Today is Friday. The weather is fine and…..
Teacher: Ok! At first I’ll check up your hometask.

II. Checking up the hometask. “Dirty linen thread” (Кір жаятын жіп) method

III. New lesson

Now imagine that we are on board plane. We are sitting comfortably in our armchairs and listening some information about England and Scotland . Tell me, please. What do people usually do while they are flying by plane?

Read books, newspapers, magazines, listen to music, talk, solve crosswords, puzzles, have lunch.
Teacher:
Before visiting the UK we have read and we have looked for some interesting information about this country. So, let’s see what we know about this country.
