“Fast Food”

Цели урока:

-- активизировать изученную лексику по теме “Еда”, "Fast Food”;

-- совершенствовать навыки чтения и работы с текстом;

-- активизировать грамматические навыки, навыки говорения учащихся;

-- развивать память, мышление, внимание.

Задачи урока:

-- развивать навыки монологической речи и диалогической речи;

-- продолжить формировать произносительные навыки учащихся. Обеспечить в ходе урока повторение усвоенных лексических единиц по теме;

-- совершенствовать навыки употребления лексических и грамматических структур в речи учащихся с соблюдением норм иностранного языка;

-- развивать спонтанную речь учащихся;

-- развивать навыки понимания иностранной речи.

Оснащение урока:

-- учебник Enjoy English (Биболетова М.З., 2008), рабочая тетрадь Enjoy English (Биболетова М.З., 2007), доска, раздаточный материал: листы с текстом, дополнительной лексикой по теме, задания.

I. Организационный момент: приветствие:

- Stand up! Good afternoon, children. I’m glad to see you. Sit down, please. How are you today?

беседа с дежурным:

- Who is on duty today? Who is absent? What date is it today? What day of the week is it today? What season is it now? Thanks, you may sit down.

II. Сообщение цели урока.

-- Today we shall have a lesson according to our topic “Fast Food”; we shall speak about tasty, healthy and useless food. But first let’s repeat Present Perfect Tense and do some exercises. Tell me how Present Perfect is formed? -- It`s formed with help of the auxiliary verbs have or has and a verb in the 3^rd form or +ed.

III. Read these sentences, put the correct time adverbial in the correct place.

Example: Have you been to Paris? (ever/never)-- Have ever you been to Paris?

1. Look, your brother has come in. (usually/just)

2. I have tried to read War and Peace but I always stop because it's difficult. (usually/often)

Make the sentences, paying attention to the Present Perfect.

Translate the sentences from Russian into English using the Present Perfect or Past Simple.

Я уже вымыл руки. - I have already washed my hands.

Ты вчера работал? - Did you work yesterday?

Я уже видел этот фильм. - I have already seen the film.

Я ездил в Германию два года назад. - I went to Germany two years ago.

Вы читали уже эту книгу? - Have you read this book already?

Я видел его вчера. - I saw him yesterday.

Today we continue working on the topic “Food”. Look at the blackboard, please and read the saying “We eat to live”. Do you agree with this saying?

At our previous lesson you spoke about food, tell me what Russian people usually eat. – Pancakes with jam, porridge, salads, soup etc.

What do English people usually eat? What do you think? – They eat a lot of meat, fish, eggs, toasts, fruits, vegetables etc.

Now let’s read a short dialogue about how children are going to cook dinner. (4 persons).

Misha: I'm hungry. Let's have a snack!

Robin: But Betsey isn't in.

Alice: Is there any food in the fridge? Let's see. We have some milk, some butter, some ham, some cheese, some fish, some tomatoes and some bananas.

Robin: Can we make an omelette?

Alice: No we can't because we don't have any eggs.

Misha: Can we make ham and cheese sandwiches?

Alice: No we can't because we don't have any bread.

Misha: Can we make fish and chips?

Alice: No, we can't because we don't have any potatoes.

Betsey: Hi, guys! Are you hungry? Let's go shopping!

Let’s translate the dialogue.

Well, now answer the questions.

You have successfully revised the words. And now let’s work in pairs. Make a short dialogue. One of you speaks what Russian people prefer, and the other what English people prefer usually to eat.

VI. Работа с текстом.

Fast food

Fast food is popular among teenagers. However, many experts consider fast food harmful to our health. In today's fast moving world people have less and less time to spend on eating or cooking. That's why fast food is popular, especially among teenagers. However, there are a lot of people who consider fast food can do harm to our health.

In my opinion, fast food is very convenient because you don't have to wait for a long time until your food is prepared. In addition, it is rather cheap, which is very important for teens who usually do not have much pocket money. What is more, junk food such as pizzas, burgers, chocolate bars are tasty and lots of teens like it.

Fast food may be addictive. Teens turn down home-made meals and eat junk food instead. They cannot live without chips or fries, burgers or hot dogs. I agree that if you eat too much fast food you are likely to gain weight.

In conclusion, I want to say that fast food is rather unhealthy, so I prefer home-made meals. My favorite food is salad, chicken and fruit. To my mind, everybody should make their own choices whether to eat junk or healthy food.
