  • understand some factual questions about rainforest
  • respond appropriately to Past Simple Tense
  • use  form answers correctly
  • respond to some information questions about story correctly

  • use past simple forms correctly in narration without teacher’s support

GREETING

Hello, children! How are you?

Checking up the homework ( to learn by heart some irregular verbs)

APPLYING PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE

Game “ Around world”

    Pupils we played this game before and you know how to play it. Nevertheless I would like explain it. First two pupils stand up please. When I say a verb you should make up sentences using this verb. First said pupil continues the game and move to the next pupil.

“ Bingo”

  Pupils you have sheet of papers with blocks on it. There are nine small squares in each blocks. You should write down any six words below. And I say some words. Your task is to find out pairs and write near your words. If you line horizontally, vertically or diagonally you should say  “ Bingo”

 Words for writing

  1. is, am, did, does, are, was ( I, she, he, we, it, you)
  2. always, now, seldom, last winter, yesterday, sometimes

( is doing, reads, bought, drank, go, watches )

  1. Forest, river, mountain, sun, rain, waterfall

(орман, ?зен, тау, к?н, жа?быр, сар?ырама)

Story time.

Pre-reading questions

  • What do you know about the Sun?
  • What do you know about the Moon?
  • Is it possible to see both them on the sky at the same time ?

The Sun and the Moon     Once upon a time there were The Sun and The Moon. They were friends. The Sun was big and yellow. The Moon was  big and yellow too. They liked to give to  people warmth and kindness. They met clouds, rains, stars on their way every day. They were very glad to meet two friends. Everything was good but ….

     Once a month the Moon became narrower and it wasn't pleasant to him. He always wanted to be as big as the Sun. However  it was impossible. The Moon began to hate his friend. He didn’t want to walk, to play, to talk with the Sun. The Sun didn’t understand what the reason was. The Moon became jealous and even he changed his colour into black … and  covered  the Sun with his body. The Sun was crying, clouds were crying, everything was crying. Only the Moon was laughing: “ ha-ha ha”. The Nature didn’t like it. She ordered to banish the Moon away. She allowed The Moon to appear only at nights when everything was sleeping.

     Even now, many years after that event, there is still  hostility between the Sun and the Moon. But we sometimes can observe the shadow of the moon in the afternoon. What does it mean? The Sun is very kind to hate … 

After  reading tasks:

  • What are the main heroes of the tale?
  • Who were the friends of the Sun and of the Moon?(he grew jealous of her success)
