The aims:

             Educational:  to explain them a new grammar material, to teach them to 

                                  master their language, to do some grammar exercises.

         Developing:  to enlarge the students’ skills and habits of reading, writing,

                               speaking in English,  to develop their skills on working

                               themselves.

          Cultural:      to direct them to think and give their own opinion 

                               themselves, to form their esthetic outlook to the life, to bring 

                               them up to respect each other.

 

Visual aids: grammar table, cards, a cube, an interactive board, schemes.

  1. Organization moment:

T: Good morning, students!

S: Good morning, teacher!

T: How are you?

S: Thanks, We are fine! And you?

T: I’m fine too, thank you, sit down!

T: What day is it today?

T: What season is it now?

T: What month is it now?

T: What is the date today?


II. Checking up the home task:

T: I want to begin our lesson with these words. As we know, the aim of learning a foreign language at the college is to teach the students to use this language in everyday life. That’s why I want you to use this language more at the lesson. So, let’s begin our lesson with checking your home task. What was your home-task for today?

  1. S: The sightseeing of England and Kazakhstan.

And to make up sentences with the economical words. (Students will inform us with the sightseeing of England and Kazakhstan and make up sentences with them.)



III. The explanation of the new grammar material:

Now, students! Open your copybooks and write today’s date “the 27th of October” and the new theme. The theme is “The Simple Present Tense”. I’ll explain you its’ rule and function. Listen to me very carefully!

f. e. I go to the college every day.

Do you go to the college every day?

Yes, I do. No, I don’t.

I don’t go to the college every day.

My brother often comes to my office.

Does your brother often come to your office.

Yes, he does. No, he doesn’t.

My brother doesn’t often come to my office.

IV. Now, let’s do some grammar exercises according to the new grammar material. The first exercises is

II. Traveling by train.

  1. Kokshetau ( What pronouns are used with an auxiliary verb “does”?)

  2. Astana ( Give an example with the adverb “ seldom”).

  3. Karagandy ( What adverbs do you know?)

  4. Uskemen (What adverb is placed at the end of the sentence?)

  5. Almaty ( How many auxiliary verbs has the S.Pr.T.?)

  6. Shymkent ( Make up sentence with the negative form of the S.Pr.T.).

V. The text: “The types of radio”.

Radio is one of the technologies which is carried by systematically changing radiated waves. Radio systems are used for communication purposes. Today, radio takes many forms, including mobile communications of all types. Before the advent of television, commercial radio included not only news and music, but dramas, comedies, variety shows and many other forms of entertainment. There are many kinds of radio. They are audio, telephony, video, digital, heating, amateur radio services, modern GPS ( Global Positioning System) receivers. Audio radio uses to the sound by the microphone. Telephony – mobile phones transmit to a local site that connects to the public switched telephone network. But most new radio systems are digital. GPS , amateur radio are hobbies for the enthusiasts in order to communicate non-commercially and for their own enjoyment.

  6. What radio is and for whom as a hobby?

VII. Puzzle time. “Who wins a million?”

  1. What was your home task for today?

  2. Can you explain the rule of the S.Pr.T.

  3. Where did you travel during the lesson?

  4. What is radio?

  5. Why did you choose your profession?

  6. What are the new radio systems?

Then there is a game which is called “ an interview”

VIII. Giving marks and home task;S1 -5,S2- 4,S3-3.

Please write down your home task. It will be to learn by heart the new words, to retell the text, to make up sentences with the grammar.

IX. The end of the lesson: the lesson is over!
