  3. What’s your name?

  4. My cousin lives in Wales.

  5. How many books have you read this year?

  6. I work here. My father works in the study.

  7. Why is he crying?



Task 2.

Write 10 stative verbs.

Put the verbs in brackets into the correct tense form.

  1. I ……….(see) the doctor this afternoon. – I ……….(see). We can meet tomorrow then.



Task 3.

Choose from the list below all suffixes and endings with the help of which we can form adjectives from nouns and verbs. Give examples.

-ing, -hood, -ed, un-, -able, re-, -less, -ent, -(ic)al, -ment, -ness, dis-, -ous.



Task 4.

Write about a friend of yours. What is he/she like? What do you like about him/her? And what about negative points? Try to explain why you get on well together.
