Love of music

Му name is Ken. I’m fourteen and I have a lot of hobbies. I like mathematics, drawing and playing the guitar. My favourite pastime is writing poems and songs. I write songs for our school rock group. Some of them are fairly successful.

Last week there happened something I'll never forget. Our school group won the city competition with one of my songs. Here is a photo of the group at the concert. The boy at the drums wearing a black sweater and a cap is my best friend Jason and the girl in a funny old-fashioned dress is my sister Cathie. She’s one of our back vocalists.

Once there was a girl called Chris. She was born in Australia in New South Wales. Her mother was a teacher and her father was a jazz musician. Chris liked to sing with him when he played the piano. When Chris was 7, her family moved to Sydney, where she went to school. She often took part in school concerts. She acted in pantomimes, played the piano and the guitar. Soon Chris joined a group of teenager musicians and began to sing with them. She also bought costumes for their performances — black jeans, purple shirts and bright scarves. In these clothes they looked very stylish and hard to forget.
