Trinity of languages as an inseparable part of the educational system

A wise man once said: “Those who know the language are at home everywhere”. We live in the era of globalization, where it is no longer possible to live in isolation. Every day we witness how different nations and countries cooperate with each other because of a variety of reasons. This situation would not be possible if every nation spoke only its native language. That is why in order to strengthen our country’s status in the world economy, the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev suggested to implement the project of “The trinity of languages”.

“Trinity of languages” is an important project, the realization of which will be regarded as our countries certificate of competitiveness in the global industry. According to the programme Kazakh is an official language, Russian is the language of international communication and English is a language of successful integration to the global economy. For the first time the project of “The trinity of languages” was introduced in President’s message to his nation in 2007. After that the government started its stage by stage fulfillment.

When mass media started to frequently highlight this project, it became the main topic of hot discussions. So the public opinion was divided into two. Thus some people were against it because they thought that Kazakh language’s status would be weakened. Others supported this programme as they believed that it would be helpful for our future generation. When it comes to me I belong to that group of people who truly support this project. In my opinion knowledge of the languages is a great power because it opens a window into the world with its huge stream of information. Nowadays we have to admit that majority of our specialists are foreigners. But this situation will change in the future, as soon as our citizens will be able to speak in three languages.

In conclusion I want to say that the representatives of our generation are responsible for the successful implementation of this project. We should do our best in order to meet the requirements of our leader of the nation Nursultan Nazarbaev because the project of “The trinity of languages” will help our nation to be in the same level as the world’s most developed countries.
