Good afternoon, pupils! Sit down, please. Are you ready? Let’s begin our lesson.


  1. Explanation of the theme and plan of the lesson.

The title of the lesson is “My house”. The theme of the lesson is talking about house and revise new words on topic “Rooms’, “Furniture”. Our lesson will be in a form of “competition”. Look at the plan of the competition. And at the end of the lesson you’ll get diplomas.


  1. Introducing teams: name, motto, poem, song.

1st team: “Kitchen”

2nd team: “Living room”

3rd team: “House”


  1. Solving crosswords, scan words, puzzles.

A house = It is a place we live in

A bedroom = It is a place where we sleep

A bathroom = It is a place where we wash our hands, faces and take a shower

A living room = It is a place where we can watch TV and read books. It is the main room in the house.

A dining room = It is a place where we can have dinner

A study = It is a room where we can work or study

A toilet = If we drink much water we often go to this place

A kitchen = it is the place where we cook food and wash the dishes

A hall = It is a place where we take off our overcoats


  1. Reading and translation of the sentences.

  2. There is a garage, a toilet, a shed and a kennel in the yard.

  3. There are some trees in front of the house.

  4. There is a living room, a dining room, a bedroom, a kitchen, a study, a bathroom and my room.

  6. There is sofa and two armchairs in the room.

  7. In the middle of the room there is a large table.

  8. In the kitchen there is a cooker, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a dresser.

  9. This is my room. It is cozy and clean.

You can see pictures of the furniture on your tables. Now everybody should choose one or two pictures and stick the furniture on the poster and describe the room.

My house


Our house is big. We have 3 rooms a living room, a dining room, a bedroom, a kitchen, a hall, a corridor and a cellar. We have 10 windows, a large yard and a small garden. There are some trees in our yard. We have 2 sheds, a kennel and a banya and a toilet and a garage.

There is a sink and shelves for shoes in the corridor.

Our living room is large. The floor of our living room is brown, the ceiling and walls are white. The curtains are red and pink.

There is a cozy brown sofa and 2 armchair and 2 carpets on the wall.


My house.

Our family has a house in the center of the village. It is not large. It has only one floor. The house is made of brick.

There are three rooms in our house: a living-room, two bedrooms, a kitchen and a hall. The living-room is large. The other rooms are not large. The rooms are not very high, but they are light.

We have a table, several chairs, two arm-chairs, a side-board, a bookcase and a sofa in the living-room. One of the bedrooms is my room. I share it with my brother. There is a table in the middle of the room. There are two chairs near the table. There is a wardrobe opposite the bed. I usually do my homework in my room.
