Разработка практических заданий по английскому языку по теме "Средства связности текста"

Пояснительная записка к практическим заданиям по английскому языку для 10 класса общеобразовательной школы.

Лексико – грамматические упражнения относятся к разделу «Use of English» и разработаны на материале темы «Средства связности текста», с использованием материалов УМК М. Кауфман и К. Кауфман “Happy English.ru 10”, грамматического справочника Т. М. Новицкой «Практическая грамматика английского языка», а также учебной литературы издательства Macmillan. Учащиеся должны владеть необходимым теоретическим материалом по теме.

1. Using the words in brackets complete one of two sentences to express coherence or consequence. Join sentences into one where it is possible.

Model: Samsung’s latest mobile phone was expensive. It wasn’t very good quality. (Although)

Although Samsung’s latest mobile phone was expensive, it wasn’t very good quality.

1. The weather was cold. But she went swimming in the lake. (nevertheless)

2. The office manager does his best at work. He doesn’t earn much money.(however)

3. Our company is expanding. We are taking on extra stuff. (Therefore)

4. It’s getting dark… Let’s hurry up and finish this game! (in that case)

5. She is an expert in her field. She is well- paid. (accordingly)

6. We didn’t click straight away. At the beginning, we often quarreled because of small things. (moreover)

7. I’ve been looking for hours. I can’t find my glasses. (despite)

1. Water these plants twice a week and water those ones in the bedroom.(likewise)

2. Let’s do some shopping tonight. I know an excellent store in the center. (By the way).

II. Rephrase sentences using words in bold. You should replace the underlined words with an expression that has a similar meaning.

Model: She told me later, that she wasn’t sure herself at the time she left.
