Public libraries are becoming less popular and they will soon disappear.
Nowadays the issue of importance of public libraries is debatable. Some people are convinced that libraries are useless at present and they will not exist in the future, while others believe libraries are important for people and they cannot disappear at all.
I agree with the point of view that libraries still have significance. First and foremost, for many people libraries are the only free source of books. For instance, an old generation cannot use computers to read e-books, therefore, they visit libraries. Besides, a lot of rare issues, documents and newspapers are kept in the library, they are not published in the Internet.
Nevertheless, we can find a contrary opinion. Some people are sure that libraries lose their popularity and we do not need them anymore. Due to the development of the technologies, people can find out any information in the Internet without leaving home. Moreover, if you have an electronic book you will manage to read any book you want.
However, I cannot agree with the opposing opinion completely. There are many books which are unique and people have the only opportunity to read them in the library. Moreover, to download an interesting and popular version in your electronic gadget you should pay, but borrowing books in libraries and not buying new ones, you can save a lot of money.
Taking into consideration all mentioned above, I strongly believe libraries play essential role in people`s lives and they will not disappear even in the distant future.
