Animals

Hello! I’d like to give a talk about animals .

*To begin with, I’d like to say that there are different kinds of animals in the world- farm, wild, zoo animals and pets. Most of all, I love cats, lizards and parrots. Cats and lizards are my favorites as they seem to be so cute and also it’s easy to take care of them. Parrots are really funny and friendly.

*I don’t have a strong opinion about ways to protects endangered animals. But I suppose that it would be better to make special reserves for them. Also, it should be prohibited to hunt rare animals.

*Actually, my city has no big zoos. But there are several petting zoos where kids can watch, feed and touch rabbits, lizards, cats, parrots, lamas and other species.

*To tell the truth, I’m not sure if a zoo is a good option for animals. In most cases animals feel uncomfortable when they are kept in small habitats away from the wildlife. But sometimes some creatures can survive only in zoos or national reserves.

Travelling

Hello! I’d like to give a talk about travelling .

*To begin with, I’d like to say that travelling is extremely popular today and choosing a means of transport is very important. Busses and cars are very demanded among holiday-makers as you can stop wherever you want. Besides, a lot of people choose travelling by trains which is a comfortable means. Still travel by plane is the fastest way to reach your destination.

*When people arrive in a new place they like to walk around and visit historical sights. Also there are interesting museums or galleries where you can learn about the place. No doubt, people love tasting local food and national dishes while visiting other cities.

*As for me, I would like to visit St.Petersburgh. This city is full of history of my country. There are lots of unique buildings, wide streets, famous monuments and very beautiful fountains.

*I think that travelling is a good way to discover unknown places and meet new people. Moreover, it’s a chance to study customs of other country and improve your language skills.

That’s all I wanted to say.

Health issues

Hello! I’d like to give a talk about health issues.

*To begin with, I’d like to say that it is really important to teach kids how to take care about health. Personally I keep healthy diet and exercise regularly to avoid problems with my body.

*No doubt that a healthy diet means choosing useful food which includes vegetables and fruits with lots of vitamins. Besides, necessary amount of meat and the right dose of water per day is important too.

*However, it is easy to damage your health so you should visit a doctor regularly. As for me, I go for doctors’ check-up once a month to make sure that everything is fine. It’s easy to prevent a disease than to cure it.

*Today we are offered a lot of fast food and children like to buy chips, hamburgers and cola. Fast food is really harmful as it contains a lot of artificial ingredients that can lead to serious diseases like obesity, cancer and others. All in all, we should care about our health.

Environmental problems

Hello! I’d like to give a talk about environmental problems.

*To begin with, I’d like to say that these issues are really important nowadays. We face such problems as pollution, acid rains, global warming, and deforestation. If people don’t stop polluting the planet, the Earth will be destroyed.

*I live in Volgograd and here the biggest problem is a lot of rubbish everywhere: in the streets, along the river Volga. Rubbish pollutes and poisons the air, water and land. As a result, species die out, people suffer from serious diseases and plants can’t grow.

*I believe that my classmates and I also can do something to protect the environment. For a start, students can organize clean-up days, use less plastic bottles and use rechargeable batteries.

*So I think that if they ban plastic packaging we can stop polluting the land with plastic. We should find alternative way to pack and also have more recycling centers.

That’s all I wanted to say.

Radio

Hello! I’d like to give a talk about radio.

*To begin with, I’d like to say that TV and the Internet are the most popular mass media. However, many people listen to the radio every day. There are several reasons to that. Firstly, you can get news through the radio when you don’t have time to watch TV, for example, in your car or on a bus. Secondly, it’s comfortable to listen to the radio at any place where there is no Internet connection.

*As for teens, they normally listen to music or news on the radio. A lot of schools and universities have their own radio stations so students get the latest news on the spot.

*To tell the truth, I’d like to work for a radio station as it's very interesting. Also sharing information with people is what I really enjoy.

*All in all, I think that radio will always be popular because it is available in any city and any village where people don’t have TV or the Internet.

School

Hello! I’d like to give a talk about my school.

*To begin with, I’d like to say that there are a lot of different types of schools. Actually I study in the cadet school. It is a boarding school for boys. Many of my teachers attended this school.

*Here we have a lot of sports facilities - a gym, a football pitch, and a modern sports centre. Besides, there are several playgrounds and a tennis court.

*As for our timetable, Monday is the most difficult school day for me since I have lessons on subjects which are the most difficult for me. Also I have two extra lessons on Physics and English.

*No doubt, my school is a very important place for me. Here I met new people and learnt new interesting things

Daily routine

Hello! I’d like to give a talk about my daily routine .

*To begin with, I’d like to say that my working days are really busy. I go to school 6 days a week and Sunday is my only day off. In the morning I get up at 6 o’clock and do my morning exercises. Then I have breakfast and go to school.

*Actually I have six lessons every day. But on Monday I have two extra lessons on Physics and English. I need them to prepare for my exams.

*After school I come back home and do my homework. After that I go to the sports club which is 3 times a week. So my afternoons are really hard too.

*As for me, I’d like to have more free time during my working week to relax and meet my friends. Also it would be cool to have no lessons on Saturday.

That’s all I wanted to say.

Transport

Hello! I’d like to give a talk about transport.

*To begin with, I’d like to say that I live in Volgograd an here we have a lot of different means of transport like: buses, trams, trolleybuses, route taxis. The most popular of them are buses as you can get to any place of the city.

*Actually, you can see a lot of cars in the streets of Volgograd. They emit toxic fumes which cause air pollution here. As the result, harmful gases form acid clouds in the atmosphere and acid rains damage the environment.

*Bikes are also popular among the citizens of my hometown. However, there are few bike lanes in the city. And we need more of them because the streets are full of transport.

*The problem of heavy traffic in the city can be solved if we use public transport more often, for example if you go to work and back home. But private cars are necessary when you go somewhere with your family. No doubt, private cars are comfortable and quick if you travel on long distances.

That’s all I wanted to say.

My friend

Hello! I’d like to give a talk about friends .

*To begin with, I’d like to say that every person needs a friend due to some reasons. Firstly, it’s important to share good news, feelings or worries with a close mate. Also, we can ask a friend for advice or support in difficult moments of life.

*As for me, I have on close friend, his name is Oleg. I met him nine years ago when we went to school for the first time. It was the 1^st of September and we have been good friends ever since.

*I think that a real friend must be loyal and supportive. Besides, he should be a good listener and a very attentive person. Moreover, a true friend is always there for you.

*Actually, I can’t imagine my life without my friend. It is necessary to have a person you can trust in any situation.

Living in the city or in the country

Hello! I’d like to give a talk about life in the city and in the country .

*To begin with, I’d like to say that I live in Volgograd. It’s a big city in the south-east of Russia. It has a lot of modern buildings, universities and colleges as well as cinemas, theatres and shops.

*No doubt, there are some benefits if you live in the city. Firstly, convenient public transport and various shops make your life comfortable. Also people can get a job easily due to low rate of unemployment.

*But when you live far away from big cities, you can have some advantages too. Fresh air and clear water are good for your health. Besides, here you lead stress-free lifestyle without all that noise and pollution.

*If I moved a house, I would like to live in a city as I want to go to university and get a higher education.
