Цель: - создание условий для формирования лексических навыков по теме «At the doctor’s» у учащихся 5 класса
Задачи:
способствовать использованию учащимися новых лексических единиц по теме «At the doctor’s» в устной и письменной речи
содействовать развитию коммуникативных умений общения на английском языке через составление диалога с изученными лексическими единицами и с модальным глаголом should /shouldn’t
способствовать развитию интереса и положительного отношения к иностранному языку
T: - Good morning, dear boys and girls! Sit down, please. I’m very glad to meet you. I’ll be your teacher of English today. How are you today?
P: - I’m OK.
T: - Very good. Sit down, please.
2. Организационный момент
T: - Look at my clothes and then look at the screen and tell me … How do you think what’s the topic of our lesson today? You are right, our topic is «At the doctor’s».
3. Сообщение целей и задач урока
T: - As you’ve already said the topic of our lesson is «At the doctor’s». How do you think what we’ll do at this lesson?
Will you learn some new words? Will you do some exercises with new words? Do you want to learn a new modal verb should / shouldn’t? Do you want to be a doctor and role-play the dialogue «At the doctor’s»?
4. Фонетическая зарядка
T: - Look at the screen, please. Here you can see some proverbs about health. Firstly I’ll read and then you’ll repeat it after me. Is it clear?
The first wealth is health.
A sound mind in a sound body.
An apple a day keeps the doctor away.
5. Речевая зарядка
T: - I prepared for you some sentences. Your task is to say what is healthy and what is unhealthy. Divide these sentences into two groups. The first group is healthy, the second is unhealthy. Is it clear?
to do exercises in the morning
to eat a lot of vegetables
to visit a doctor regularly
to drink Coca-Cola every meal
to wash hands before breakfast
to eat fruit and vegetables
to eat at McDonald’s every day

1.Предъявление новых лексических единиц по теме «At the doctor’s»
T: - Now we’ll learn some new words about health. I’ll say it and then you’ll repeat with me three times. Let’s start.
A cold
A sore throat
A cough
A temperature
A runny nose
1.1 Активизация новых лексических единиц
T: - Let’s try to imagine these words. You are to go to the blackboard and show us one of these words. Is the task clear?
1.2 T: - Let’s play. Do you want to play a game? Look at the words on the blackboard. Now close your eyes. One word has lost. What is it? And so on.
1.3 T: - Now let’s try to make up sentences with new words and construction to have got. I’ll give you a ball and say a word for make up a sentence.
Example: I’ve got a cold. My mum’s got a cough.
1.4 T: - Now I’d like you to work in pairs. Your task will be to translate the sentences into English using new words and construction to have got.
2. Объяснение модального глагола should /shouldn’t
T: - Ребят, сегодня мы с вами познакомимся с модальным глаголом should /shouldn’t . Мы используем его, когда хотим или нам нужно дать совет кому-то. Если мы хотим сказать, что тебе следует сделать что-нибудь, мы скажем You should – тебе следует. You shouldn’t – тебе не следует.
Example: You should wash your hands before dinner.
You shouldn’t drink Coca-Cola every day.
2.1 T: - Now we’ll do the exercise. Open your books at page 24 exercise 4. You should match the problems to the advice.
1. I’ve got a toothache.
2. My eyes hurt.
3. I’ve got a stomach-ache.
4. My arm hurts.
5. I’ve got a runny nose.
6. I’ve got a sore throat.
7. I’ve got a headache.
A. You should go to the doctor.
B. You should go to the dentist.
C. You should take nose drops.
D. You should take some pills.
E. You shouldn’t watch a lot of TV.
F. You should stay in bed.
G. You should drink hot tea with lemon.
2.2 T: - Let’s do the same exercise on page 15 exercise 2 in your workbook.
1. I’ve got a sore throat.

A. You should see a doctor.
B. You should have a lot of warm drinks.
C. You should take nose drops.
D. You shouldn’t watch a lot of TV.

3.1 T: - Now we’ll watch a dialogue «At the doctor’s»
3.2 T: - Let’s read the dialogue in your book. Open your books at page 23 exercise 2. Choose a role and read the dialogue. Work in pairs.
Doctor: - Good morning. Please, sit down.
Patient: - Thank you, Doctor.
Doctor: - What’s the matter?
Patient: - I can’t speak.
Doctor: - Let me see. Open your mouth, please.
Patient: - A-a-a-a-h.
Doctor: - I see. You’ve got a sore throat.
Doctor: - You should stay in bed and drink warm milk. You shouldn’t go to work.
Patient: - Thank you, Doctor.
Doctor: - Come and see me on Friday.
Patient: -OK. Goodbye, Doctor.
3.3 Roleplay the dialogue «At the doctor’s»
III.Рефлексивно- оценочный этап
1.Рефлексия
T: - Our lesson is coming to the end and I want you to tell me what have you done at the lesson today? What was interesting for you? What was difficult? What new information did you know at this lesson?
2. Объяснение домашнего задания
T: - Your hometask will be exercise 4 on page 16 in your workbook. You are to complete the sentences with modal verb Should or shouldn’t.
3. Выставление отметок
T: - Each of you was very active today and I’ll give you marks. The lesson is over.
