Цели:
Образовательная: совершенствование навыков коммуникативной компетенции, обучающий контроль по заданной теме.
Воспитательная: воспитание любви к спорту, формирование навыков здорового образа жизни.
Развивающая: развитие навыков устной речи, познавательного интереса. Создание положительной мотивации в изучении иностранного языка.
Задачи:
Активизация пройденного материала в нетрадиционной игровой форме.
Совершенствование навыков аудирования и говорения.

Ход мероприятия
I.Приветствие:
Teacher: -Hello, boys and girls! It’s my pleasure to see you at this lesson! Today we are going to speak about The Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.
II. Речевая зарядка:
Teacher: - Everybody knows that sport is an important part of our life. It helps us in different ways: to keep in good health, to build our character. Sport makes us strong, fast, brave and patient. And now I’d like you to answer my questions:
Do you like sports? Do you go in for sports? What is your favorite sport?
III. Викторина. Орг. Момент.
Деление класса на 2 команды. Выполнение заданий. Оценивание правильного ответа осуществляется «медалями». Команда с наибольшим количеством медалей становится победителем.
Teacher: -We know that this winter the Winter Olympic Games took place in Sochi, Russia. They were great. Many our sportsmen and sports commands earned bronze, silver and gold medals. And now I propose you to pass our competitions and to find out our own winners. Do you agree? Well, let’s begin!
At the beginning I want teams to introduce themselves.

IV. Первый конкурс “Guess the sport” (“Угадай вид спорта”).
Teacher: -You will see some kinds of winter sports on the board. Write down them in your papers. The names of the sports must be written in correct form. Each correct name of sport will be estimate like one point.

Biathlon, Curling, Speed skating, Figure skating, Short track, Alpine skiing,
Nordic combined, Ski jumping, Skeleton, Bobsleigh, Hockey, Tobogganing
V. Второй конкурс “Match the words” (“Соединить слова”).
Teacher: – So, the second contest will be to match the words. Look at the screen and match the words.

XII. Подведение итогов викторины:
Teacher: – Now boys and girls our game is over. And I want the jury to estimate the teams and account the points.(Жюри объявляет результаты.)
Chief: – If you have good health you’re in a good mood. We must eat fruit and vegetables and of course go in for sports. Thank you for your attention! Let’s sing a song “We are the champions”!( урок заканчивается песней группы “ Queen”)
