Tasks:

Оборудование: диск, карточки, учебники                                                                  

Org. moment:

 Good morning, dear children! Sit down! Who is on duty today? What date is it today? Who is absent today? Who can tell me, what day is it today?

Ok, you are right! What season is it now? Are you ready for this lesson ?

The Silk Road Tour

  Imagine a tourist from Britain is coming to visit you.

Where would you take him in Kazakhstan?

What would you like him to see?

There are 3 ancient places in  The Silk Road:

1 Taraz

2 Turkestan

3 Aksy-Zhabagly Nature Reserve

• Look at the example with the class. Point out to the students that they need to write three or four words for the answers in this exercise.

Ask students to work on the translations in pairs or small groups, and then discuss with the whole class.

Ask the questions about The Silk Road and write short notes on the board as students give their ideas. Use the discussion to introduce the key words

Give students time to read through the text. Ask them to add information to the notes on the board. Read the text aloud and help with new vocabulary

Students use their own ideas to complete the two replies. Explain that there are lots of possible answers here.

Ask different students to read out their replies.

Ask students for their ideas about The Silk Road Tour. Write up their ideas on the board in note form. Some of these will probably be questionable or untrue. Put question marks beside all the suggestion
