In   1992  the first  Nakhodkinskoye TV -"TV-Nakhodka" appeared

In 1990's  socio-political newspaper "Nakhodka Avenue" appeared

In 2008 between Nakhodka and Joetsu on the seabed was laid fiber-optic cable connection length of 900 km, which connected Japan to Russia and Europe .

December 28, 2009 in the presence of Prime Minister was inaugurated"Sp ecial sea oil port Koz ’ mino."

Further development of the city associated with the construction of "Seaside refinery "

Nakhodka is a big sea port.

The Beginning of construction began in April 1995 on the hill Tobolskaya . In summer 2011 the Temple had the status of cathedral . In 2012 Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Krill consecrated the church.

Memorial "Grieving Mother"

This memorial was built in July 9 th , 1979 in the honor of dead fishermen. They swam in the ship Boksitogorsk which sank in Bering Sea. Sculpture of a woman with a baby in her arms, made of bronze, height 7 meters. Behind the sculpture there are two metal pylons in the form of open sails. At the foot there is a platform with lists the names of 24 dead fishermen. There is also a long staircase from the slant of the hill to the memorial.

The Monument To The Dead Partisans

The monument to the dead partisans during the Civil War and foreign intervention   in 1918—1922 . It is in Red Square.

Many years ago there was a reception in pioneers and Komsomol.

Church of the Kazan Mother of God

Church of the Kazan Mother of God is on the hill of Tobolsk. The first Primorsky mosque was built under the support of the local Tatar community . It was opened in 2006. The height of the minaret of 21 meters. Holds up to 500 people

The Great China Wall In Nakhodka

Not far from the bus station Barkhatnaya and next to Suan Yang Hotel, there is a so-called China Town. This is a shopping mall, which has about 60 small shops, snack bar and cafe. Its construction reminds a part of the Great China Wall.

They appeared in June 1958 . One of them dedicated to the century from the day opening of bay Nakhodka .The second is in honor of construction the working settlement in Nakhodka. They weigh more 3 tons .

Nature Monuments

The monument of friendship “The Garden of Stones” was in October 1983. It is located between the bus stop Tikhookeanskaya andPloschad Sovershennoletiya. You can see 14 stones. It is similar to Garden of Stones in Kioto. This Stone's Garden is the present of sister-city Tsuruga (Japan). A granite stone of irregular form brought from the Japanese sister-city Maizuru in 1978 to commemorate 17 years of friendship between the two cities.

The Wall of Japanese sister towns .

In 1972 in honor of three sister towns of Nakhodka — Tsuruga , Maizuru and Otaru the first memorial wall with coat of arms was built in English, Russian and Japanese. There is a traditional Japanese fountain.

The Wall of American sister towns .

In April 1975 Nakhodka and American city Oakland became sister towns. In the honor of this the second memorial wall was built In 1989 the other American town Bellingham added to these sister towns of Nakhodka.

The statue of Peace is one of the best works of sculptor Haukava Osamy. This statue a woman with a dove in her hands. It is made of bronze. Japanese city Maidzuru presented it to our city in 1991 as a symbol of friendship. The same sculpture, the second copy, is in Japan. This statue was a popular view point. But in 1997 it was spoiled by vandals. They cut off her hands with a dove, which was a sumbol of peace and friendship between our cities. Then it was reconstructed and now we can see it in our museum.

Monument of Victory in Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945

Installed on the project at the VA Faustova Nakhodka Avenue site. There is a central stele of the 3 metal pylons, lined with marble tiles. The monument is crowned with a plate with a cut in their five-pointed star. At the foot of the monument there is a pedestal with the Eternal Flame.

Hill's sister

Brother Hill

It locates at the mouth of the river Suchan in Partisan Municipal District. Hill is a traditional symbol of the card. The height is 318 meters. Together with the brother and nephew of hills forms a single natural system.

Fox Island

It locates in the western Gulf of Nakhodka in the 550 meters from the mainland. It is famous as Gulag camp area. There are house barracks and a construction of fish plant at the top of the island. Later the access to the uninhabited island was closed. Today the tourists visit this island by ship.
