School is an integral part of each person. It’s a very special place where you grow up and take courage, make friends and mould your personality.

School 12 in Novokuznetsk is one of the oldest schools in this city and it’s famous for its museum “The Memory”. The school is situated in Pionersky Avenue near the River Aba. It was born in 1933. October the 5 th , 2013 is the 80 th anniversary of the school.

The students are proud of it because during the Great Patriotic War there was a hospital in it where hundreds of lives of the soldiers of the Red Army were saved.

The students and teachers of this school defended their Motherland during the war.

Museum “The Memory”. It was opened in 1965, May 19.

Kolomnikova Nina Frolovna , the founder and the leader (1966 – 2003) of the museum. She is the author of the book “Soldiers of the Victory”

In 1967 November, 7 the obelisk was established near the school with the words on it “To dear students and teachers of the school, who died for their Motherland”.

Every year on the 19 th of May meetings are held there and children bring the flowers.

Now the leader of the museum is Prozhirova Valentina Veniaminovna.

Lots of meetings, excursions with veterans of the war are held here.

There are many exponents in the museum

237 shooting Peryatinsk Division, the members of which were the students of school 12.

This division was formed in Novokuznetsk.
