Introduction

• For every person, the most precious and native place on Earth is his Homeland, where he was born, grew up, where people close to him live. For us, this is our city Artem. Often we do not notice things that seem ordinary to us, but in fact they are fraught with great cultural and historical value. There are many monuments in our city, but people don't know much about their history, not all monuments are known to the residents of our city, and even less do they know about the events in honor of which these monuments are installed.

The purpose of the project: To expand the idea that the hometown is famous for its history, traditions, sights.

Object of research: monuments of the city of Artem.

Subject of research: the history of the creation of the monument of the city of Artem.

Project product: booklet and presentation "Monuments of the city of Artem"

In this regard, the following tasks were set:

1. Define the concept of "cultural monument";

2. Consider the functions of monuments, their properties and characteristic features;

3. Consider the cultural monuments of the Artemovsky city district;

4. To study the history of the creation of the monument in the village of Knevichi;

5. Prepare a booklet and presentation "Monuments of the city of Artem".

The concept and classification of cultural monuments

Cultural monuments are works of human hands, ancient objects, tools and structures preserved on the earth's surface, under a layer of earth or under water. According to them, scientists restore the past of human society. The main monuments of material culture: tools, weapons, household utensils, clothing, jewelry, settlements (parking lots, settlements, settlements) and individual dwellings, ancient fortifications and hydraulic structures, roads, mine workings and workshops, burial grounds, drawings on rocks, sunken ancient ships and their cargo, etc.

• The most ancient monuments are archaeological: parking lots are the remains of ancient human settlements. They are usually located on the banks of rivers, lakes, seas.

• The settlement is the remains of an ancient fortified settlement located on the hills. There are ramparts and ditches near the settlement. Here you can find interesting metal products — bronze, copper, iron.

• Architectural monuments are also subject to protection — the creations of architects that form part of the cultural heritage of the country and the people. These are buildings for various purposes: churches, cathedrals, monasteries, chapels, cemeteries, towers, walls, palaces, parks, mansions, public buildings, duma (town halls), wonderful residential buildings, estates, noble and merchant houses, peasant huts and other structures.

• Finally, there is oral folk art — folklore, which is studied by the science of folklore studies. It explores the verbal, song, musical (instrumental), choreographic, dramatic and other collective creativity of the masses.

The monument was erected in 1985 in the year of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Victory in memory of the soldiers-fellow villagers who died on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War by the sculptor K.I. Timoev.

Conclusion

Our city, though small, but each of its inhabitants can be proud of history, their fellow countrymen who left a mark on this history. And to tell about how people lived, what they thought and dreamed about, what they did - to convey this story to us, is intended for monuments. We, children, should know about the monuments of our city, and therefore about its history. I would like the city authorities to remember this too and not only take measures to preserve existing monuments, but also create new ones.
