Hystory of my town

The city Sinelnikovo originated in the mid-NINETEENTH century, as the village of Pavlograd County in Ekaterinoslav province on land donated by the Imperial government, General I. M. Sinelnikov, a favorite of Catherine II. The descendants of the ruler, his heirs allowed to build on their land, the railroad provided that the station will bear the name of the General. In 1868-1869 built railway station which has received the name on behalf of the owner of the land — the station Sinelnikovo-Yu (i.e. the South) And Sinelnikovo (Katerinoslavska -II).The railroad gave impetus to industrialization of the city. And in 1895 it was buider new locomotive depot and started to work in the car shops – now – train shed

In 1903, commissioned the plant on the basis of the forging shop Bronislaw Yatskevich, which then will be nationalized and will be called "the 8th state factory". Bluth), the 26th guards rifle corps (major General P. A. Firsov), 12-th army – 333-rd rifle division (major-General A. M. Holosko), 66th rifle corps (major General Kupriyanov D. A.), 17-th air army of the forces of the 288th fighter air division (Colonel Smirnov B. A.) and the 1st mixed aviation corps (major-General of aviation Shevchenko V. I.).Nearly 4 thousand Sinelnikov defended the Fatherland in the great Patriotic war, the city operated underground. More than 2,500 people were awarded orders and medals. The natives of Sinelnikovo, Nikonenko Colonel Yakov Tikhonovich, guard captain Bareback Dmitri, petty officer Shabelski Ivan, petty officer Troshev Ivan filimonovich awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.
