Globalisation.
Famous musicians.
The popularity of western music has spread all over the world. Pop music developed into a global industry in the second half of the 20 th century.
Do you know anybody of these musicians?
It started with Elvis Presley (1935 – 1977)
Singer, actor;
Rock-n-Roll,
R&B, Country
and the Beatles (1960 – 1970) , who could be called the world’s first rock stars.
They started a new era, allowing other singers to become internationally famous and created a new global industry.

Paul McCartney
But pop music changes quickly. It is sometimes difficult to understand why a group or a singer is successful and why the public buys their music. For this reason, the industry is constantly changing.
The world is seen as a global village in which all countries depend on each other and seem to be closer together and the role of classical music is especially evident!
Dmitri Hvorostovsky
Hvorostovsky was born in Krasnoyarsk in Siberia in 1962.
He studied at the Krasnoyarsk School of Arts and made his debut at Krasnoyarsk Opera House, in the role of Marullo in Rigoletto . He won First Prize at both the Russian Glinka Competition in 1987 and the Toulouse Singing Competition in 1988.
He has sung at every major opera house, including the Metropolitan Opera (debut 1995), the Royal Opera House at Covent Garden, the Berlin State Opera , La Scala , the Vienna State Opera .
Anna Netrebko
Netrebko was born in Krasnodar (1971).
She studied at the Saint Petersburg conservatoire and made her debut at the Mariinsky Theatre at the age of 22, in the role of Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro .
She won First Prize at both the Russian Glinka Competition in 1993.
She has sung at every major opera house, including the Metropolitan Opera (debut 2002), the Royal Opera House at Covent Garden, the Los Angeles Opera , La Scala, Carnegie Hall, the Vienna State Opera.
