The Novgorod Kremlin (or Detinets) is the main attraction of Veliky Novgorod, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Novgorod Kremlin has an oval shape. It is built of red brick with a stone on a mortar of unequal size. The height of the walls is from 8 to 15 m, they are decorated with teeth. The Detinets is located on a hill, and a deep ditch has been dug around it from all sides. Once it was filled with water, now you can walk along the bottom of the moat. Only 9 of the 12 towers intended for security and military purposes have been preserved. Their height reaches 41 meters. Novgorod Kremlin

The author of the sculpture, artist Anatoly Vyatkin, told the press in an interview that the idea to make a "Monument to the keyboard" came unexpectedly. He was working on one of the projects for an international exhibition. " I spent a lot of time at the computer and realized that the keyboard today is the same "common place as a frying pan" — there is practically in every house ". Soon after, with the support of the art community and Yekaterinburg businessmen, work began on the manufacture of sculpture parts. It turned out to be more complicated than it may look for a person who has not been engaged in sculpting. Concrete is an extremely heavy material for sculpture.

One of the largest cave settlements — Chufut-Kale — is located just three kilometers from the Bakhchisarai Palace. Presumably, this medieval city originated in the V-VI centuries as a Byzantine fortification. The proximity to Bakhchisarai makes it one of the most visited places on the peninsula by tourists. The city is located on a small plateau Burunchak and is surrounded by deep gorges. The natural landscape and fortress walls ensured the safety of the settlement, it was very difficult to get here. The only way is a mountain trail that connected the inhabitants with the rest of the world. The first inhabitants of the caves were the Alans, a powerful Sarmatian tribe and allies of Byzantium, who settled in the mountainous Crimea. Mentions of settlement in these places are found in written sources from the XIII century. The fortress on the impregnable mountain was known by the Turkish name Kyrk-Or. In 1299, the hordes of the Tatar emir Nogai raided the peninsula, and Kyrk-Or was ravaged along with other cities. The Tatars stayed in the city for a long period, placing a military detachment here. Once the area belonged to Veliky Novgorod, then the Swedes took possession of it. During the Northern War, initiated by Peter I, this territory became Russian again. In 1702, Saari Mois (the Finnish name for this area, which means "a manor on a hill") was recaptured from the Swedes and given into the possession of Alexander Danilovich Menshikov, but already in 1710 the tsar presented it to his beloved wife Catherine. The Saarland manor, as it was called in the Russian manner, became Catherine's hunting grounds, and a year later, when Peter I officially declared his wife empress, it received the status of a royal residence. It is with the name of Catherine I that the name of the palace and the park is connected, according to her decrees, the first buildings were erected, and a park appeared on the site of forests for royal hunting. The first Grand Palace was founded in 1717, the German architect Johann Friedrich Braunstein supervised the construction. The palace was small and modest, despite the magnificent name.

The Vakhtangov Theater counts its history since 1921, when a play staged by Evgeny Bogrationovich Vakhtangov "The Miracle of St. Anthony" was performed in the building on the Arbat. In 1922, Vakhtangov played the premiere of "Princess Turandot", which was destined to become the hallmark of the theater for many years. In the twentieth century, the Vakhtangov Theater was led by legendary directors and actors: Ruben Simonov, Evgeny Simonov, Mikhail Ulyanov. Since 2007, the artistic director of the Vakhtangov Theater has been the brilliant director Rimas Tuminas. The Vakhtangov Theater is rightfully proud of its almost century-old history, remembers and honors the name of the founder and the deeds of his followers, strives to preserve and multiply their glory. Without the memory of the past, there is no future. Today, the Vakhtangov Theater plays performances on four stages in Moscow: on the Main Stage, on the New Stage, in the Studio and in the Art Cafe. Soon they will be joined by two stages in the Simonovsky branch of the theater, which is currently under reconstruction.

Theater named after E.B.Vakhtangov
