AMERICAN THINGS AND EVENTS IN OUR LIFE

America and Russia are far from each other.But there are some things and events in our life which remind us about the USA or which came from this faraway country. Let’s try to discuss it.

AMERICAN MONEY

Going abroad many of us use American dollars. And even in Russian shops

in big cities you can pay in them.

AMERICAN MASS MEDIA

You can hardly find a child or an adult person

who has never seen Disney’s cartoons or

Hollywood films. Lots of us spend our evenings

watching them.

And to tell the truth many our children

Know Shrek or Sponge Bob better than

Kolobok.

Many popular shows ant TV projects were taken from the US mass media

industry. And they are very successful among our people .

American music

Listening to the American music

is not only the way of

entertainment but the possibility to

study English better, though it is

American English.

American Fast Food

Though it is very convenient for us to have a snack

very quickly, we should think about our health

and our appearance. Lots of people in Russia

became very fat ill people , visiting fast-food cafes .

American Holidays

Some of them came into our life. A lot of

Russian people look forward

to St.Valentine’s Day

or Halloween. We like to dress-up,

to say about our

love or just to make fun.

American System of Education

Many types of tests are taken

from the US system of education.

We don’t like some of them but it is so.

And our pupils are shown the way to work themselves more often.

American Way of Life

Many people know what the terms “American smile”

or “American dream” mean. For some people

America is associated with freedom and the place

where all their dreams may come true.

CONCLUSION

So many countries, so many customs. We think that every

country can take something from another, not only from

the USA. But every country should save its individuality

and originality. And we hope that strong Russia will

always be able to do it.
