All learners will be able to answer the questions according to the picture.

Most learners will be able to describe the pictures according to the Present Simple Tense

Some learners will be able to give opinion according to the certain pictures

  1. Organization moment

Greeting. Circle of wishes.

Teacher greets and invites to make a circle, greet each other and wish their best wishes to each other.

“I wish you ….”(Pupils will wish each other.)

  1. Dividing into 2 groups with cards.

Learners are divided into 3 groups by choosing cards.

The 1st group is Outdoor jobs

The 2nd group is Factory jobs

The 3rd group is Services jobs.

  1. Warm up.

Watch a video “Hello”



  1. Checking up the homework.

Ex. 9 p. 51

  1. Brainstorming. Activity 1. Listening

First let‘s name the professions you know. Teacher reads the descriptions and learners try to guess what profession is it?


  1. This person gives medicine and pills (a doctor)

  2. This person teaches pupils (a teacher)

  3. This person bakes bread (a baker)

  4. This person treats our teeth. (Dentist)

  5. This person catches criminals and keeps his/her eye on observing the law. (Policeman)

  6. This person works in a shop. (Shop assistant)

  7. This person prepares food (cook)

  8. This person trained to look after sick animals. (Vet)

  9. This person cuts, washes and styles people`s hair. ( Hairdresser)

  10. This person helps the customers to find in the shop what they want. (Shop assistant) Descriptor:

  • guess and names of the professions

Goal setting: ( Целеполагание)

The teacher offer learners to look at the pictures. And asks learners name the professions?

Possible pupils ‘answers: builder, mechanic, postman, driver etc.

Learners try to guess the names of professions.

The teacher asks learners what theme they are going to discuss today. What are they going to speak about?

Possible pupils ‘answers: about people, their jobs, their actions, activities.


  1. Group work.

There are some cards with the names of profession in the class. And the task is

to find the cards with the words concerning to the names of their groups.


The 1st group find only Outdoor jobs: Driver, Postman, Janitor, Farmer, Gardener,

Builder,

The 2nd group find only Factory jobs: Carpenter, Engineer, Plumber, Mechanic

The 3rd group find only Services jobs: Accountant, Fireman, Lawyer, Doctor, Teacher.

Each group reads the jobs which they have found.


  1. Reading and writing. Work with text. Individual work.

Farmer.

A farmer lives in a village. Hе grows crops and keeps animals. He works very hard. Hе gets up early morning and begins to work in the field. Нe takes his plough and a pair of oxen with him. Нe continues to work from morning to evening. For him, rain, cold or sun do not matter much. A farmer leads a very simple life. A farmer grows food, grains, vegetables and fruits.


New words:

Crops – |krɒps|- урожай

Keep – |kiːp| - держать, иметь

Hard – |hɑːd|  - тяжелый

Field – |fiːld|- поле

Plough – |plaʊ| - плуг

Oxen – |ˈɒksn| вол, бык, буйвол, бизон

Do not matter much –  не имеет большого значения

Leads a very simple life - ведет очень простую жизнь

Grow –  |ɡrəʊ|- выращивать

Grain – |ɡreɪn|- зерно

Birds -  |bɜːdz|- птицы 

Answer the questions.

1. Where does farmer live? – A farmer lives in a village.

2. What does he keep? – He keeps animals.

3. How does he work? - He works very hard.

4. What does a farmer grow? – A farmer grow food, grains, vegetables and fruits.

Differentiation

Less able learners are given another task.
