Факультативный курс по английскому языку для 5 класса Тема: «Learning more about London.»
Целью заданной программы является развитие у школьников способностей использовать иностранный язык как инструмент общения в диалоге культур и цивилизаций современного мира. Эта цель предполагает взаимосвязанное коммуникативное и социокультурное развитие школьников средствами иностранного языка для подготовки к межкультурному общению в сфере школьного и послешкольного образования. На данном этапе большое значение имеет создание психологических и дидактических условий для развития у учащихся желания изучать иностранный язык, коммуникативных потребностей в открытии мира зарубежных ровесников и использование иностранного языка для этих целей.

Пояснительная записка
Целью заданной программы является развитие у школьников способностей использовать иностранный язык как инструмент общения в диалоге культур и цивилизаций современного мира. Эта цель предполагает взаимосвязанное коммуникативное и социокультурное развитие школьников средствами иностранного языка для подготовки к межкультурному общению в сфере школьного и послешкольного образования. На данном этапе большое значение имеет создание психологических и дидактических условий для развития у учащихся желания изучать иностранный язык, коммуникативных потребностей в открытии мира зарубежных ровесников и использование иностранного языка для этих целей.
С помощью иностранного языка закладываются основы для развития у учащихся интереса к языковому и культурному многообразию мира с помощью зарубежного детского песенного, стихотворного и сказочного фольклора и развития у учащихся интереса к участию в театрализованных представлениях на английском языке, представления иностранного языка как ключа в новый мир игр и приключений. Именно эти ориентиры и цели иностранного языка как учебного предмета влияют на выбор обучающей стратегии при развитии умений понимать устную и письменную упрощенную английскую речь, участвовать в учебных иноязычных играх, обмениваться репликами при проигрывании ситуаций общения.
Для выполнения данной программы нам необходимо решить следующие задачи:
1.Сформировать у учащихся навык осознанного овладения английским языком.
2.Повысить мотивацию к изучению английского языка.
3.Расширить и углубить знания учащихся во всех видах речевой деятельности (чтение, говорение, аудирование, письмо).
4.Способствовать развитию творческого потенциала учащихся.
5.Совершенствовать навыки работы в группе.
6.Научить учащихся понимать звучащую англоязычную речь, понимать объявления, диалоги людей и т.д. с использованием различных упражнений.
Таким образом, обучение аудированию, говорению, чтению и письму на английском языке направлено на решение традиционных учебных умений, но и является способом введения ребенка в мир изучаемого языка, знакомства с жизнью детей из других стран и континентов.
Количество часов из расчета 1 час в неделю- 34 часа на учебный год.

Формы и методы проведения курса
Предлагаемые ниже формы и методы проведения курса способствуют углублению и расширению знаний учащихся по английскому языку, формированию коммуникативной и языковой компетенций.
В процессе использования данных форм и методов у учащихся развиваются следующие умения:
Обще-учебные умения: работа с дополнительными учебными пособиями, со словарем, справочной литературой; составление плана высказывания, сообщения, выступления по проблеме;
Специальные учебные умения: осуществлять тематический подбор лексики, делать краткие записи по проблеме; пользоваться двуязычным словарем;
Собственно коммуникативные умения по видам речевой деятельности, включающие речевое и неречевое поведение.

Aims: to enlarge students vocabulary, to develop speaking, reading and writing skills, to bring up the feeling of respect to foreign country and its language.
Procedure:
I. Introduction: greeting, date, attendance.
II. Warm-up: Using one of the elements of critical thinking “association” say: What I know about London.
III.Presentation of a new lexical theme “London- the capital of Great Britain” and new vocabulary: museums, art galleries, theatres, parts a capital Londoners, fantastic city, Europe, famous, interesting, beautiful.
IV.Practice:
