The theme of the lesson:  Unit III. Ecology, Geography and Nature. Step2. Kazakhstan is my Motherland.

 

Objectives  of the lesson:         

To introduce the new theme using the new information technologies  and  to check up knowledge of pupils on the lexical theme  " Kazakhstan is my Motherland " and grammar theme " preposition" lexical  words. And to bring up the students to love their Motherland.

2.Todevelop  the pupils  skills in oral speech, logical thinking, attention, memory.

3.To form  at the pupils interest in English lesson.

 

Integrated lesson.

 

The methods:       Саба?ты?  ?діс- т?сілдері:   pair work,  individual work, work with group, game, question-answer, dialogue, monologue, work with pictures, critical thinking, poster.

 

The visual  aids:    

                             Audio-video  rolik, the map of our Republic, the books, the slide-show, the interactive board.

                                                                               Love to the Motherland in the family.

a).           Let`s  begin  our  lesson.

At  1st  I`ll  divide you   in    groups  and  I`ll give you cards geography and nature.

     The   1st  group is “Geography”.

The  2nd  group  is  “Nature”.

 

b).           Each  groups  have  to  write  own  group`s  rules. And,  Each  groups  have 

LEADER/ WRITER/ SPEAKER/ TIME-KEEPER

Aims of the lesson

Additional  task:     Make  up  a  poem:

              

                                                    Cinquain:

Noun:  MOTHERLAND.

2-Adjectives:  (beautiful, large).

3-Verbs: (to love, to live, to respect).

The  meaning  of  the  word:  (My Motherland Kazakhstan).

Synonym:  NATIVE LAND.

 

5. Work  with  book :   Our lexical theme is  " Kazakhstan is my Motherland " and now  look at the slide (video).

Ex:2 p80/81. reading  and  translating  the  text.

6. Doing tasks:  Venn`s  diagram.

What is in common between  2 cities and what is different?

7. Evolution:/?ортындылау

Giving   Homework :         

ex:5 p83. (write out the sentences from the text “Kazakhstan is my Motherland”).

Ex6 p83. (write out the names of).

 

Marking: excellent (5), good (4), satisfactory (3).

Aims of the lesson

Today we`ll speak about our Motherland. The word “Motherland” has a very large meaning. We can say that our planet, the Earth is our Motherland. Who can also call our Motherland the country where we live.

- Now, look at the blackboard, read the epigraph and translate it.

(East or West-home is best. Өз үйм-өлең төсегім). and (Love to the Motherland in the family. Отан отбасынан басталады).


- Let`s listen to our students, what they can say about their Motherland. What can we call Motherland?

- What can you say about Kazakhstan?

“ Kazakhstan is my Motherland ”.

Kazakhstan was established as the Republic of Kazakhstan in December 1991. The country is the second largest of the former Soviet republics with a total land area of over 2.724.900 million square kilometres. This country shares its border with the Russian Federation to the north and north-west; to the east with China and to the south with the central Asian republics of Kirgyzstan, Uzbekstan and Turkmenistan.

The Ural River flows through the western portion of Kazakhstan to the Caspian Sea. The central region of the country includes the Kazakh Steppe to the north and deserts of Central Asia in the south-west. The Altai mountains can be found in the east.

The country is rich in mineral resources such as copper, gold, iron, lead, nickel, silver, tin, uranium and zink with deposits of oil and natural gas.

The largest city of Kazakhstan is Almaty which lies to the south-east of the country near the border with Kirgizstan and China. Almaty was the capital until December 1997 then it was moved to Akmola, 850 kilometres to the north-west. In May 1998 Akmola was renamed Astana, the Kazakh word for capital. The population of Astana stands currently at 500,000.

Peaceful and generous, the land of the kazakhs has always been famous for its hospitality. And it is not by accident, located on the crossroads of two ancient culture – Europe and Asia.

Today residents are happy to share that famous hospitality and to show the visitors the Alatau mountains with famous Medeu; the singing sands of the Altyn Emel National Park; Kapchagai – reservoir on the Ili river, the lakes and pine forests of Kokshetau; and Akhmed Yassaui Mousoleum in Turkestan, a lot of places of interest in Astana. Kazakhstan, with the world`s ninth largest area, has many such beautiful places and a rich culture. The official language is Kazakh and Russian is the language of international communication. Kazakhstan is my Motherland. Astana is the capital of Kazakhstan. Astana situated on the river Esil. The largest cities are Almaty, Pavlodar, Karaganda, Semey, Shymkent. In the west and north Kazakhstan borders on Russia, in the south on Tukmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kirgizia, in the east on Chine. There are Balkash, Zaisan, Ala-kol and Tengiz. The flora and fauna of the country are different. The climate of our country is strongly continental. It is cold in winter and hot in summer. Rain usally falls in spring and autumn. In 1991 Kazakhstan gained its independence. Our president is Nursultan Abish-uly Nazarbaev. Kazakhstan is the democratic and independent republic. The population of Kazakhstan is over 18 million. They are the State Flag, the State Emblem and the State Anthem. Kazakhstan is situated in the Central Asia. Kazakh is the official language.
