Конспект урока по английскому языку в 11 классе по теме "Знаешь ли ты свои права?"

Урок по английскому языку на тему:

«Are you aware of your rights?»

     Цель урока: определить круг наиболее важных прав ребенка, знание которых пригодится ему в жизни; обосновать актуальность прав ребенка в окружающем мире.

     Задачи урока:

      Учебные: совершенствовать навыки чтения с полным пониманием содержания и извлечения необходимой информации для использования в устной монологической речи по теме “Are you aware of your rights?”; отработать навыки устной речи по данной теме; закрепить уже известные лексические единицы; совершенствовать навыки устного перевода; формировать коммуникативные навыки.

      Развивающие: развивать интеллектуальную, эмоциональную и мотивационную сферу личности, память, внимание, комплексное восприятие различной информации из различных источников (учебник, учитель, презентация Power Point), умение слушать и делать выводы.

      Воспитательные: воспитание чувства толерантности друг к другу, формирование нравственно-правовой культуры.

      Формы организации познавательной деятельности: фронтальная, групповая, парная, индивидуальная.

      Дидактические принципы: воспитывающее обучение, целенаправленность, доступность, наглядность, системность.

      Методические принципы: коммуникативная направленность, стимулирование умственной активности учащихся.

      Средства обучения: тематическая наглядность, раздаточный материал, учебник “Enjoy English” для 11 классов Биболетовой М.З., Бабушис Е.Е., Снежко Н.Д. Обнинск, Титул, 2013, видео- и аудиозапись к уроку, презентация “Are you aware of your rights?”

Планируемый результат: Научиться говорить на языке по данной теме, знать об основном документе о правах ребенка.

Основные учебные элементы для усвоения: Понятие прав ребенка, конвенция прав ребенка, лексика по теме.

Обеспечение занятия: Видеоклип. Компьютер с мультимедийным проектором, Конвенция прав ребенка, учебник, раздаточный материал.

Структура урока:

      1 блок – целевой: Оргмомент. Мотивация. Постановка задачи.

      2 блок – процессуальный: Речевая зарядка. Совершенствование навыков чтения, навыков устной речи, навыков аудирования.

      3 блок – аналитический. Подведение итогов. Домашнее задание.

Ход урока и его структура.

      1. Оргмомент. Речевая зарядка. (2 мин.)

     С самого начала урока создается англоязычная среда путем вопроса учителя к каждому ученику How are you today?

      T: Hello, guys. Take your seats, please.

           T: How are you today?

           P1: - I’m fine, thanks.

      P2: - I’m in a good mood ‘cause yesterday I took part in football competition and my team won the first place.

      P3: - I’m very well and ready for the lesson.

      P4: - I’m great and looking forward to speak English.

2. Целеполагание. Сообщение плана урока.

      T: Now you will watch a short video, which will help you to guess about the topic of today’s lesson.

      T: So, what are we going to discuss at the lesson?

           P: Judging by the video, I can say that we’ll speak about children’s rights.     

      T: That’s right. Now you can define the aim of the lesson. Why should we study this topic? For what reason?

      P1: The aim of our lesson is to learn about our rights.

      P2: We’ll find out the most important rights which we can use in our life.

3. Homework check Проверка домашнего задания (2 мин.)

      T: Very good. Thank you. Your home task was to find some information in a special document, which contains the rights of a child. What document are children`s rights written in?

           P: They are given in The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the child. It is a human rights treaty, which sets out the civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights of children. The Convention defines a child as any human being under the age of eighteen.

      T: Ok. Thanks a lot. When was it adopted?

        P: The Convention was adopted on 20 November 1989. It came into force on 2 September 1990.

           4. Pair work (работа в парах) (3 мин.)

      T: Yes, very good. Now please work in pairs discussing the rights, which are listed in this document.

      T: Ok, guys, your time is up. What rights do you have as a child?     

      P1: The Convention declares that every child has certain basic rights, including the right to life, his or her own name and identity.

           T: Thanks. Does anyone else have any opinions?

           P: All children have the right to be raised by his or their parents within a family or cultural grouping, and to have a relationship with both parents, even if they are separated.

      T: Anything else to add?

      P2: Children have the right to acquire a nationality and. as far as possible, the right to know and be cared for by his or her parents, the right to freedom of expression, the right to education.

     P3: We have the right to be protected from abuse and neglect.     

     P4: The right to express the views that we have, to a decent standard of living, to be protected from all forms of cruelty, exploitation and torture.  

5. Group work (Работа в группах) (4 мин.)

      T: Very well, thanks. Now you’ll be working in groups. Group1 and group 2. You’ll have to fill in the table writing about your rights at home, at school, in the street.  Then we’ll compare your answers and draw a conclusion. The Convention will help you to do this task. You have 4 min.

      T: Your time is up. Put your pens aside. So Group1 is speaking about the rights at home, Group2 is listening and adding.

            P.( from Group 1): At home we have the right to: drink safe water,

      eat healthy food,

      have a decent standard of living,

      express  our views,

      be protected from neglect and abuse.

      T: Ok. Group 2, do you have anything to add?

      P.( from Group 2) : We’ve the right to: love and be loved,

      be cared by our parents.      .

      T: That’s correct. Now group2 is speaking about school rights and group 1 is adding some information.     

      P: At school we have the right to:

      education,

      express my views,

      learn,

      know about our progress,

      have a rest during breaks.

           T: Right you are. Group 1 would you like to add something?

           P: We have the right to

      be protected from neglect and abuse,

choose our friends,

be listened to in anything that affects us

6. Reading with full understanding of the words

      T: Thank you so much. Now look at the screen. Here you can see a list of rights that you may have in the street. What would you like to remove from here or add?

      P: I think there is no sense in the right to walk in the company of parents… I think it’s silly and we should remove it from the list.

      T: Ok. What rights would you like to add?

           P1: I’d add the right to freedom, to listen to music in the street.

      P2: Oh, cool. Then I have the right to listen my favourite music as loudly as I want!

      P3: Let me disagree with you. You cannot listen to music very loudly as you may disturb other people.

      P4: In such a situation I’d advise you to listen to your music in earphones.

      P2: I’ll think about that.

      T: All right, guys. What can you say about your rights? Who must uphold them?

      Хорошо, ребята. Что вы можете сказать о своих правах? Кто должен поддерживать их?

      P: We have different rights in different situations. They should be protected by the Government.

           7. Consolidating the topic’s lexis. Individual work. Закрепление лексики по теме. Индивидуальная работа. Фронтальный опрос. (3,5 мин)

T: Well, now look at Ex.81 on p. 29 . In your homework text there were some of these words: decent, neglect, torture, uphold.

Try to remember the meanings of these words. Create your own sentences with them.

           The pupils are doing the task individually in the sheets of paper given them.      

8.  Lexico-grammatical material training. Отработка лексико-грамматического  материала.

      T: Translate into Russian the following words and expressions. Do the exercise 85, p. 30. in your sheets of paper.

      Переведите слова и выражения на русский язык и сделайте упражнение на их подстановку на листах.

T: You time is up, please put your pens aside and exchange your papers. Look at the screen and check the exercise.

           9. The learnt material control. Контроль усвоенного материала. (3 мин.)

      T: Have a look at Ex.87 p.31 Match the halves of the sentences and say how you understand those.

T: Now I suggest you writing on a small sheet of paper one of the rights, which you consider the most important one. When you’re done give them to me.

      T: Ok. Now you have your own Convention on the rights of the child. Keep it in your class. Use them in your life but don’t forget about your responsibilities.

      T: So, guys, what do you know about your rights? How do you know about them?

      T: Open your diaries and write down the homework for the next lesson. At home you’ll have to write an essay on the topic: “What right I would like to have?” use p.172 in your textbook while writing. Learn the words and expressions of today’s lesson.
